I'm drooling over this Gettysburg as it's one of the nicest toned examples I've seen since the 1990's.
Surface condition wise it's easily on par with what you see in MS67 holders today.

My jaw dropped too when I saw this. Incredible!
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
Yes, that’s VERY nice!
Yeah and the only piece in the Early Bird that jumped right out at me and said "Hello Look At Me"
Same here. What’s keeping you from pulling the trigger?
You buy it, Frank? It is very nice.
Edited to add:
Gettysburg is one of my favorite places on Earth.

On the website John calls it a Stegosaurus, which if I know my dinosaurs, is even bigger than a moose.
How could anyone ever have graded that MS65?
The 1800 and 1803/2 Half-Eagles are not so slouchy either. Tremendously nice color on those. They're both gone.
The numbers that weren't the grade
BS got that jack.
What did it sell for?
Listed at $3975
AMAZING!! Eye appeal is off the charts!!!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I knew that’s the coin you were talking about. Someone coughed up the bucks.
I told John that coin almost made be start collecting commems again. That coin is the total package. Congrats to whoever put it on hold. I was thinking about it all day

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Maybe JA is gonna ship it giftwrapped as someone bought it for me?
That's got to be it!
@Broadstruck birthday - check
@Broadstruck birthday present on hold - check
That's a nice score. I hope you scored it for yourself already
Shot at MS68?
Probably not but there's a quite a few negative eye appealing and tentative AT MS67 and 67+'s out there.
Sigh. I regret not buying it

Make $5k offer to new owner through CRO!
It took me 5 seconds when I saw the EB to think this is a Justacommeman coin.
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
Did you buy it to give as a birthday present?
Great toning.
.
No, but I am getting him a six-pack of Dos Equis!
JCM pooped the bed. Let’s face it I’m afraid he is slipping. A tale of whoa. Basically he sucks. He is going to drink himself into oblivion tonight.

Will monogrammed diapers (CRO, of course) work as a consolation prize?

Today actually is my birthday and I do like that coin.

This was an exceptional EB. Every coin was nice and the gold coins were fantastic!
Man, we should've all kicked in $50 like we did for Paradise and gave this to our forum friend, Broadstruck.
An equal deserving recipient!

Looks like it was perfectly struck in-collar to me. I really don’t think @Broadstruck would even like it.
Happy Birthday!
You bought it for your Birthday, right?!

Unbelievable. My favorite commem too.
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Beautiful coin. Hope it shows up in a Registry Set with a TrueView
For any potential buyers of this coin, remember that TrueViews can be done in-slab if you don't want to lose the slab.
Congrats to the new owner! The coin is way more than I have paid for a single coin before... but I thought about pretty seriously!
My current "Box of 20"
Now that you ruined the surprise, I'll just have to call him and have him ship it to me instead.
Then I'll thank whomever wrote the check.

The price seems reasonable for the color and true grade/quality.
It is a nice looking coin!
I think the current images are (more than) just fine.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!
I think the images themselves are great, but they aren't available online as easily found, well-known reference images the way say TrueViews, Heritage and Stack's are.
I have been meaning to get a Gettysburg commem..... Have been there (even camped there as a kid during the Boy Scout National Jamboree) a few times.... I will definitely renew my efforts, time for a new coin anyway. Cheers, RickO
If it shows up in a Registry, it's trivial for the owner to attach the above images.
