Gold CAC Trade Dollar

Have to thank @Pickwickjr for this one. When he called and said he found a nice gold CAC coin that would look good in his collection. I had no clue he was busting my balls and he was actually talking about a coin for me. The last coin I expected was a Trade Dollar. Luckily as soon as it listed he instantly bought it. He didn’t want to waste time calling me so I could buy her. As I’m writing this there is just 7 gold CACd Trade dollars across the entire series. So when a reasonably priced gold CAC Trade Dollar post it certainly won’t last long. It just so happens I still needed this date for my set. So having the gold sticker was a nice bonus. Thanks again Pickwickjr, Just 6 more coins left and my set will be complete.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Fantastic!!! Wow....one of those pieces you will never regret buying. Well done!

The best finds in coin collecting are the friends you make. Congrats

Very nice Trade Dollar...Seems to have good surfaces and deserving of the sticker. Cheers, RickO

That coin is amazing . As much as I wanted it for myself and my gold cac collection ,it was perfect for your collection. I’m glad to help a good friend. Coins come and go true friends don’t. Enjoy the gem!
Looks like a very nice coin. Pickwickjr deserves an ataboy for the good deed he did for you.
Looks very nice!
Latin American Collection
Common date in uncommon condition. I never saw many trades in soap bars or rattlers for that matter. Not many trades were prime collectibles during that era. Very nice
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
That’s a really nice looking coin. It would have been a great “guess the grade” candidate.😉

Great eye appeal. I would be proud to own that coin.

Wow ... beautiful coin and toning!
I'd say the ... very upper end 62!
I’d say that based on the pictures provided (which granted, are probably masking flaws) the MS62 grade looks silly.

That's a nice piece all the way around. Congrats
Thanks for all the compliments guys. There is no doubt about it Pickwickjr really did me a huge favor. He knows I wouldn’t hesitate to do the same for him which is how a good friendship works.
My grading experience is limited to the XF45-AU58 range when it comes to trade dollars. I’m not sure if it is a nice 62 or could maybe get into a higher graded slab. As long as I own her which will likely be the next few decades she will remain in this old fatty holder with her gold bean. My original goal was an all CAC approved date and mint mark set within the XF45-AU58 grade range. This coin is obviously graded higher then the rest of my set but I was willing to make the exception for her.
Super look ... would love to see some more pics too if you’ve got any. Congrats. ⭐️
Great addition congrats.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Here are a couple more. I tried to blow them up a little bigger.
Send it in for crossover at the same grade, get the true views and send back to JA. , for another gold.
I have been looking for a trade dollar in an NGC fatty for some time now.

Crusty - Im a little late to the party, but just wanted to congratulate you in this beautiful acquisition!!! Wowee!!! She’s a looker ya’ll !!!
Congrats again!
T$1s usually have a lot of problems and very hard to find original ones. Obviously high end and I wonder what the original NGC graders were thinking?
You got the real buddy price on that one!😎
Great score, Crusty!!! Gorgeous!
