Continuation Of A Raw Roosevelt Dime Set (1948 & 1949) In This Thread

TomBTomB Posts: 22,083 ✭✭✭✭✭

About two weeks ago I started a thread about a raw Roosevelt dime set that I have worked on, at a very low level, for approximately 15-years. In that thread I shared the coins from 1946 and 1947. This evening I am listing the coins from 1948 and 1949. Those who have shot many raw coins in one session will immediately recognize the infuriating fiber across the date of the 1948-D. I hadn't noticed it until I was editing the images and by then I was in no mood to reshoot the coin. Others might recognize the significant die polish crazily marking the reverse of the 1949.

The original thread is below-

I hope you enjoy.

Wow, I had forgotten about the original thread by now so seeing your post was a pleasant surprise. And then all of the dimes turn out to be gorgeous as a bonus!! It was well worth the wait. :)

Nice looking dime Bro! The hammered lower Full Bands on the 48-D are sensational. Wish they all looked like that.

    Later, Paul.

You've really captured the look of the coins nicely - well done!
