this is a copy and paste of an article, but I was trying to search for the discussion here and could not find the thread....

The Philadelphia mint production pieces are being hyped, but have no distinguishing marks or low mintage....So once the hype dies down, they are just another ASE....Cheers, RickO
I saw this as well. I ordered Ten 2020 Silver Eagles and also three PCGS Certified Emergency Philadelphia Silver Eagles. I examined them all, and for the life of me I can't see any marks of any kind that identify the 3 PCGS Certified Eagles other than the case they came in. How did PCGS determine that these three were actually the Emergency Silver Eagles?

My understanding is they had to be shipped in the monster boxes with straps intact to PCGS.

Unlikely. Although there are no distinguishing features, I believe less than 300,000 were produced in Philadelphia. Thanks to the TPG's, a lot of collectors will "buy the holder" & not the product.
@davids5104 - I agree with everyone's comment here, probably a hype and time can only tell what will happen with the value of this issue. But just wanted to offer a different perspective on whether or not you can physically distinguish these coins without the (P) mint mark. Check out my finding below and let me know your thoughts.

Being able to make the distinction may or may not impact the value of these coins one way or the other. Also, please keep in mind that I am still in the process of testing out this concept. Need larger sample sizes. If you have the same observations with the emergency issue coins you own, please post your comments to my thread. Thanks in advance!

Everyone barely gave it a thought. Basically just hype and nothing actually different between coins. Can't tell them apart. Just a "label" difference. Seems like this "label" is carrying a premium. Is this label needed for a set or something? That is a lot of label premium for something that is not rare and identical to the main run. Look at these numbers:

Per CoinWorld: "The Philadelphia Mint struck 240,000 American Eagle silver bullion coins during the two weeks it supported the West Point Mint in April as production at West Point was reduced."
