    I am using Safari (Apple).

As of 1:35PM (ET), the silver is still available (i.e., "add to bag"). The checkout process, however, still requires a lot of refreshes.

    Good Luck.

What a joke! I could not get a gold and the silver will not let me get through the shipping process.

  • JeffMJeffM Posts: 587 ✭✭✭✭

Silver is still available, so keep trying if you have the time. The dealer goons must be tying up the website, as it is still having problems.

  • GuxiyouGuxiyou Posts: 154 ✭✭✭

At this point the mint has just implemented maximum frustration. If you can outlast everyone else pulling out their hair, then you win. Otherwise....

There isn't a winning strategy except keep trying

Silver no longer available. I tried for an hour on my main account. I got one on my wife's account. I am surprised about the unavailable for the silver and frustrated with the problems on the website.

Silver currently unavailable. A travesty as usual.

Well... with the silver also sold out... these will probably be pretty hot on the aftermarket for awhile....

Amazing but I finally got a silver. Better than nothing I guess.
These are already on ebay being offered anywhere from $435 to over $600.
I don't see the silver becoming moon money with a 75,000 mintage but they might settle into the $700-800 range.
    Any thoughts?

The mint barons are laughing hysterically while counting their money. I completed their customer survey and blasted them (as if it will do any good).

  • tincuptincup Posts: 5,141 ✭✭✭✭✭

I was wondering why I was finally able to get to checkout with a silver one in my cart.... only to be told I had an invalid item in my cart.... too late...... ugh

  • I posted a question in the other topic about the v75 and asked if anyone thought the silver would sell out today considering the 75,000 mintage. I am blown away. Not even 2 hours and it's sold out. Mind Boggling.

    This is freaking ridiculous.

There are 1000s of people who have no interest in coins who are buying this to flip (in addition to all the coin dealers and people on this forum). there are credit card churning buying groups who are telling their 100s or 1000s of members to buy these and resell immediately to the groups who then resell to other people.

I think it's time for the mint to change how it operates. This was by far the most ridiculous release yet. They should be minting as many as are needed to satisfy demand for a week or month or year. And then at that point mintage stops. This is so stupid.

until they mint to demand for each issue, this repugnant game (That I Participate In) will continue. there is no way to figure out who is buying to sell to flippers or even the TV hucksters. The only way is to mint to demand.

The mint now is on the "rarity excitement" that many world mint's are doing. I expect this type of thing to continue unless the voice of the masses is heard. I have a fax number to complain to, btw. Mail could also be sent to the Mint Director at the HQ address in Washington DC.

    cross posting this question

so IF there are a handful of these [au v75] left [I know, I know], and the mint were to release them for sale to those 'remind me peeps, when [what time, not day] does the mint usually do that? like 6a? 8a?

there's no way ill wait for an email, so want to be ready each day at that time til they're sold out, if they don't go to sold out first ...

    any experience w this appreciated

Silver sold out? friend unavailable message

  • 3stars3stars Posts: 2,287 ✭✭✭✭✭

The sell out only took 1,5 hours because of the crappy website, otherwise it probably would have been 30 minutes or less

Previous transactions: Wondercoin, goldman86, dmarks, Type2
  • got several golds and more silvers.. how do you guys predict the price?

  • JeffMJeffM Posts: 587 ✭✭✭✭

Now that everything is sold out, the mint's website magically works better.

the ERP from last year resulted in many members checking the website daily for 9 months until it was finally listed as sold out. It might take a while.

I was able to pick up the silver, but not the gold. My friend who told me about the sale this morning GOT ONE OF EACH!!!!

That has to be a one in a million chance. Good for him.

Is the US Mint email confirmation with an order number usually a solid indicator that the order is legitimate?
