I just now ordered this coin,,,,,,, hope it looks as good in-hand as in this photo.
In hand the coin is darker like the True-View. I like it and it is just arriving at CAC.

Thought I was just picking up a nice buff nickle for my type set...
Seems I might have bought better then I even thought Though I must admit this was pointed out to me, I didn't spot it.. but on close examination of the sellers pics...
May just have grabbed a D/S for under $50

@HalfDimeDude I think you hit it on the money.. in hand after close comparison at Varity Vista, I'm 99% positive she's an FS 515.. Will be sending her back to NGC come the 1st to have it attributed properly

Received this in today's mail.
Probably paid a little bit too much but it is pretty.
Can someone tell me how a coin like this only grades MS63?
I think the CAC says there are folks that agree with you. Unless there is a lot going on that's not coming through in the picture I wouldn't be surprised at a 64-65.

A low population $5.00 gold Liberty. Supposedly, less than a hundred known. There is a little, squiggly and beat down S in that photo.
Great coin. Started out at about 29,000 mintage - wonder what happened to the rest? Crazy gold piece with alot of unknown history!

@robec Congrats, that 1929-S is spectacular!
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
In the quest to add to my “Orwellian Barbarous Relic” collection, I’ve been seeking out 1984 gold coins in 69 grade.
Whereas this doesn’t quite meet the grade I desire, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add the first regency to my collection.
The gold looks sooooo good on the green, and interestingly enough, she’s unpersonalized like many of the regencies out there.
I am very happy with she, Cleopatra.
It's all about what the people want...
Nice find! I love my Regency holder. Wish it had come with the felt bag like yours though.
