I thought that the 1844 cent would have graded higher from its looks.

Thanks! I think the planchet flaw, or whatever that is, in the A in STATES would keep it from getting a +, and the wear on the tip of Liberty’s headdress would keep it from MS. But I really like it’s eye appeal and the flaw in the A is camouflaged by the outline of the letter A

When you put in the Cert number there was no picture?
Sometimes they have one if the previous owner paid for a better scan, some look really nice.

Yes they did... but they didn't seem as 'professionally' taken...
And there was a blurb about copper coins changing over time.... I thought the pretty one was when they first graded it and the later pictures were after and by less professional...
