1904 St. Louis Exposition - Philippine Exhibit - Bronze Medal - Adolf Weinman
This is one of my favorite designs and I was glad to be able to have picked this particular specimen up because of the color. The relief, detail and color on the eagle really makes this piece pop and stand out.
1864 Abraham Lincoln - The Right Man in the Right Place & Freedom - Fuld-126/295 f - NGC MS62 POP 0/1/0 - Ex-John J. Ford Jr.
This is a silver 1864 Lincoln election token when he ran against McClellan. I really like the slogans "The Right Man in the Right Place" and "Freedom".
I'm guessing the die sinker is Montgomery Burr. Ken Bauer's CWToken.com site doesn't include any attribution for the obverse but indicates the reverse is attributed to Burr and Montgomery Burr is associated with a similar die here.
This is rated R-9 in silver, but this is the only one in the NGC census and there are none in the PCGS census. Any one know of any others?
Well, coins I like seem to come in bunches. Put in what I felt was a fair bid for this coin as I didn’t have a type 2 in my gold type set. Two hours after bidding I found a branch mint gold coin that I really like. Not sure if it is good karma or bad karma. Usually, my fair bids get outbid, and I was expecting that to happen here. And to be honest, I wouldn’t have been that sad, as the other coin was cheaper, and there is no way I can afford both......but, finding the other coin virtually assured I would win this...so of course, no other live bids, and to the type set it will go....Now I need to try to find some other coins in my collection to sell, in order to try and add the branch mint coin.
Picked this one up earlier in the month. It is beat up, but it has character. It is my “dog walking pocket piece”. While my dog is sniffing around, I either examine my coin, or read a coin publication. I keep the coin in a plastic holder to keep it in the condition which I received it.
I am now down to my last 3 coins needed for my 183 Coin Registry Set. MS 67 and This coin comes with the Green sticker. This was a tough coin for me to find and this is what Mr. Hall Says....

XF40. A little lower grade than I was after. But I watched this sitting in inventory for a while and decided to make an offer expecting a counter and then re-evaluate. Well, it was accepted and now I own it.

This hasn't arrived yet. It's inbound from Europe. It's a LARGE brass medal designed by Leopold Wiener, of the cathedral / architectural medal fame.
I was awe struck with the design of this one. Talk about HIGH RELIEF . . . . ! I'll get an angled view of it when it arrives. It measures 60mm in diameter. No idea how much it weighs.
I am totally excited to have won this one. It's whimsical detail is amazing. I wish I knew to whom it was given / made for and why it was crafted.

@Zoins That’s tremendous. Would hold my interest examining all its details!

@Zoins - That is a beauty. I agree the color is spectacular.

It's definitely a great piece to spend time with. The relief and the way it reflects light is just amazing on it.
I have a number of larger medals, but this is the one with the greatest relief.
This one came today with a rare Sunday delivery
2 oz Silver Day of the Dead Marigold Skull
Colors couldn't be guaranteed. The one I got is closest to the one in the upper right.
Another delivery is set for tomorrow.
2-oz Silver Day of the Dead Rose Skull. Same thing with the color.
EDIT to add
The Rose Scull arrived. It's like the upper one with intense blue eyes.
Reverse is the same for both
The Marigold and Rose designation is for the flower on the forehead.
