Really neat! That penny looks to be a 1974-D to me.
Agree. And I think it is actually a late-stage brockage rather than a "grease filled die".
Hmmm. Didn't think about that. The seller listed it as a grease-filled die, and I just accepted that. I'm not very familiar with brockage errors. Thanks for your input! Maybe I'll start a new topic to get a consensus, not that I doubt you at all, @dcarr. You actually do this stuff! Rather, it would be for educational purposes.
@ShaunBC5 those 2 coins are really nice and sought after coins. 63-D FBL franklins are normally beat to death with contact marks. Sweet! I have not bought a coin yet with a bean, but it doesn't mean I'm not looking
I picked up my first IHC last weekend on GC. I'm not a fan of bilious colors on copper, but find the purple tinges on this coin very attractive. PCGS graded it MS64BN. The strike and luster are excellent.
@cointime Thanks! I paid right at retail (all in) on the dime, but most of the micro S’s I’ve tried to buy raw were right at retail, so I didn’t mind as much. The ‘63 Frank was an upgrade of of a raw I’ve got in my yet-to-be completed Franklin set. I felt I did pretty good on that one
@cointime I really like that IHC. Really nice for your first one!
I've been on an error kick lately. This off-center 1993 WQ is phenomenal. It looks proof-like! I really like the "woody" appearance of the clipped Connecticut quarter too. I'm lovin' these coins.
@Downtown1974 said: @ReadyFireAim congratulations on a nice score! You certainly have a great eye for Saints. I’m glad to have one of your former Saints in my collection.
Thanks, a stunner 08-D Motto doesn't come up that often.
I wasn't even going to replace the one I had but pricing on this particular coin right now is VERY weird. (also the 10-D)
Part a bullion play, part a slight upgrade for my gold type set. My original $10 lib wasn’t very nice. Was able to get this common date for a fair price.
Just completed my Gobrecht Redbook set with the addition of this J-60. The obverse toning is much subtler in hand than the image. Edited to add a shout out to Harry Laibstain ...... Great dealer to work with.
Sweet looking coin! Ok, if this show is still going to happen in March 2021, I am making a point to be there - It's in my back yard
We live in the Phoenix area and are so excited about this show! I want one of those coins! I got my 9-year-old son involved in the hobby this year, and he's excited about going to his first show.

OMG, what a super cool coin! Congrats on completion
Just bought this half dime and I'm trying to get the actual colors
Any opinion on grade?
Thanks

Frank, grading from photos is almost like throwing darts - sometimes you get lucky Looks like a good deal of wear in the knee/legs area. I'm not sure it would be a coin I would have graded/slabbed. Perfect for a 7070 type book/folder.

Late-stage die cap = late stage brockage. Same result either way.
I’ve gotten several new pieces in the last week but haven’t gotten around to image any. Thankfully this one has a TrueView to save me a bit of time...

Best investment ever...
A shot of the reverse and larger photos would help, but my first crude guess would be AU-something.
