OK, here we go (again). I found TwoSides2aCoin, a way to track 1Mike1's pick, and also added Fox9487 to the list. Yes, we are back to 42 contestants.

Here are the first three rankings for review.

Saudis are defying OPEC with lower prices. Brent could get to the $20's. If only we could break up the gold cartel. LOL

And take the profits now, unlike the calendar year comtest. He still might win, but will volatility stay at fever pitch for another 9 months?

Yes, love the TVIX. Requires constant monitoring. Best part is I don't have to hold (like in the contest), but can sell the highs and buy the dips, and most importantly dump it before (hopefully) it blows up.

Leveraged ETFs can bite just as easy as they can kiss.

One minor bright point to having your customer shut down for a week (possibly up to 3, if they comply with the state lockdown directive) is that I have more time to document the crazy moves in the markets. Here's the update from today, note the metals prices may be slightly off since the market is open for a few more minutes.

  • WingsruleWingsrule Posts: 3,275 ✭✭✭✭

Had to document the largest daily move in the Dow in some 90 years. Prices as of yesterday's close.

Hey derryb. Why is TVIX up so significantly? Maybe I'm a terrible googler but what is it about Credit Suisse that's so valuable right now? Are they more than just precious metals?

Has nothing to do with the issuer.

I'm chasing for the last spot this year apparently...one of my 50/50 picks (pharma company ARMN) dropped hard yesterday after a court ruling. Fortunately I don't have any real money in it...unfortunately I have family that does.

I like a good horse race, OPA closing slightly on derryb at the start of the back stretch.

MsMorrisine staying in as a dark horse.

    Good vicarious entertainment. Thanks, Wingsrule!

Big day in the market with all of the big indices up 6% or more, yet the average portfolio only increased by 1%.

Fidelity has halted buy orders for OSTK due to "confusion on upcoming digital dividend". So Joe six pack is locked out untill after the ex-div date this Friday... But you can still sell. I wonder if the shorts who were paying up to $300% fee at times are able to cover through Fidelity presently? Yes Fidelity, the largest institutional owner of OSTK at 9mm shares outstanding.

Feel free to file a complaint with the SEC as I'm sure they would never condone such activity
