Cool that they chose this old illustration for the article!

Sorry, Mr. Eureka. It looks AT to me.
RMR: 'Wer, wenn ich schriee, hörte mich denn aus der Engel Ordnungen?'
CJ: 'No one!' [Ain't no angels in the coin biz]
I wonder what the origin of the image is and the time frame it is from.
Possibly an old book illustration?
"To Be Esteemed Be Useful" - 1792 Birch Cent --- "I personally think we developed language because of our deep need to complain." - Lily Tomlin
Maybe the author was or is a coin collector and knew that the reverse of the Gobrecht Dollar is the most of all of the attractive designs for the U.S. dollar. Some might disagree with me on that, but I think that it is the best design.
Wish that more folks read the Eonomist as well as the NY Times...

The NY Times is not what it used to be. When I was in undergraduate school, it really was “the paper of record.” Now it has become more of a paper dedicated to opinion.
Bill, it does a good job on the bottom of a parakeet's cage.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
But do you read it before placing it at the bottom of the parakeet's cage or do you have someone else do that for you?

Sorry Bill... Let's revisit this once opinions separate from reality.

Andy - you are truly a Renaissance man!
Interesting article.... Shows the 'behind the scenes' manipulations to get around sanctions without incurring the financial wrath of the United States....Too bad...That is a nice picture of the Gobrecht though...Cheers, RickO
