Would you like to post it, or do we have to react with disbelief and outrage first? If so,
What???! Me? Never! Can’thappenNOWAY CACflation
Just asking a question as I've already experienced a level of disbelief great enough for the whole forum.
Coin was PQ but not something I could have ever seen making MS65.
I have sold older slabbed MS65's that are now MS67, but have never seen anything do a solid 4 point jump.
I have never sold nor seen such a coin, personally, but would have no trouble believing such coins exist.
The closest I have seen is a 35 D Walker that jumped from 65 to 66 and then to 66 + making it a top pop.

This tread has a bunch, including the following 63 to 67 bump:

Can we assume it was "colorful"? Sometimes, color seems to blind some viewers...
Yes a colorful commem now with a major dealer at 25 times 63 cost in a new pronged holder.
Thanks for that thread link @zoins as that was a good read!
That's wild wonder what they were tripping on?
Will this thread be locked soon? Seems like many others go for less than the anecdotes above

It's okay the shock has worn off.
But did it sticker?
Had a 1936 P Buffalo go from QC Unc Details go to 65. Does that count?

I haven't seen it...but I have a customer I sold an Old ANACS 45 Indian Cent to that upgraded to a 62! He just told me a couple of months ago as we have been out of touch for around 10 years(yes it's been that long and I would really like to see the coin!). Its also a major variety. Rick wouldn't give his bean on it though.
No sticker.
That's quite a leap! Sorry you ended up on the short end of it.
Just curious, what was the time frame?
Once your xf45 went to ms62 why did you keep submitting it multiple times? Isn't one trip enough?
Sold a couple years ago and no biggie.
Now that would be something to see... If you have time, PM me the details... i.e. TPG'S, type of coin, tarnish etc.. Cheers, RickO
Well, then it MUST be dreck.

The phrase don't look a gift horse in the mouth comes to mind.
63 to 67? A four grade jump is crazy.
I had a '93 IHC regrade from 65RB to 66+RD. A 16x bump (sold this year at Stacks).
I also had a cracked AU58 bust half come back XF-details. One of my better moves.

Nope. I give the TPGs one shot and flip it. Onward , kinsmen.
I assume he meant it took more than one submission to make that jump. (e.g. 45->53->58->62)
