Now that the summer is over...

it's time to get back into coins!
The summer doldrums are official over. I don't know about you guys, but I am ready to dive back indoors to the hobby we all enjoy.
Post a coin, token, or medal to get us back into the swing of things.

Very nice... but not winter yet... I still have a lot of 'outside' activity to go..... Cheers, RickO
@DCW If I remember correctly you posted not too long ago about having this one back in your collection. It is such an amazing piece. Congratulations!
You are correct! But I couldnt resist the play on words, as "I am Ready" to get back into the hobby and hope others are, too.

Many collectors are drawn to the tokens that Joseph Merriam produced, headed by the “Good for a cent” dog token. I think that Milwaukee, Wisconsin token maker, John Marr, did equally attractive work, and his tokens are far more common.
Here is his most famous image, “The Naked Amazon.” This was Marr's most famous stock die. He paired with a number of merchant storecards, including his own.
Marr was a German immigrant. Since beer was sort of the national beverage, it is not surprising that a lot of breweries opened in the Milwaukee area. Marr made a number of storecard tokens for them.
The Philip Best Brewery was one of Marr’s more attractive tokens. Best’s daughter married a man named Pabst which marked the beginning of that modern brand name.
The best known firm from today's perspective was Fredreck Miller. The current brand name is well removed for its roots as a family business.
This rare Miller "good for" is worth any times the cost of a keg of beer
Well, it floats. Only been out once on the kayak for a skunk.
I did get tuna on a private boat but used the boat's owners gaff and not mine.
Summer ain't over
Water temperature just hit 74 degrees
Hope this finds you and your family well, @DCW

The OP is being hemispherist! It happens to be the fourth day of spring, with summer looming not far off...
Smitten with DBLCs.
Dog days of summer are almost over in Texas. Our summer is your winter. We hibernate until fall. Almost time for full time Harley riding.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
As a Detroiter I can really appreciate that one!
I agree Pork and Wool, kind of funny. Like Lamb and Lard!
@BillJones Very nice! Your posts are always very interesting and educational. I really enjoy reading them. Marr was definitely a skilled die sinker and I agree that his work is one of the best. Here is my example of his Amazon design which is paired with a Freeport, Illinois brewery:
ANA-LM, CWTS-LM, NBS, TAMS, ANS
Here's a paper token depicting a coin.
