Question, would you consider a card graded as “authentic “ part of a grade run like the one I am working on? Working on the PSA 1 to PSA 10 run.
Collect what you like. If you want an Authentic as a part of your set then get one, if you don't, don't.

I hear ya. I was just gathering thoughts on this one. I would like to find some with qualifiers, but rarely see any for sale.

12th Card for my 89 UD Griffey PSA rainbow. I am working on an image showing all 12 cards.
I'm doing the same thing with Roger Staubach's rookie, but only going up to PSA 8. I didn't originally plan on getting an authentic but then one popped up on eBay so I grabbed it. I really like that it's part of the set. I didn't originally do half grades but now that I'm finished with Authentic through 8 I have decided to look for them. I've also got a PSA/DNA autograph. Fun project, would love to see a photo of them all together.
1969 Topps Football was so far ahead of it’s time, it is insane. No borders with popping colors. What’s not to like? The 6 is amazing and still presents majestically half a century later. Congratulations!

God, collecting modern players is so hard! A “basic” set of 221 cards!
You are right about that one Dan! I thought it was more doable than the super set at 5,244 cards. 🙂. I am at 163/221, lots of low to no pops left.
And this is one more good reason that I collect Steve Garvey. Basic set is like maybe 30 cards. Much easier!
Griffey May have the largest basic set at 221. I was trying to think who could be larger... Jeter is 176, Frank Thomas 197, Cal 175.. can’t think of any larger..
Maddux is just behind him at 217. @GDM67 Leads the way at 199/217(91.71%) while I pull up second with 186/271(85.71%). With the cost of submitting basic cards being what they are, I am ok with not having 10's for each and would much rather have it be complete.
I'm trying to stay with 10s for my contemporary Basic Sets (Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Chipper) but not being quite as picky for the Masters I have for those guys. Regional food issues and the like are nearly impossible to find in 10s.
My first Aaron and Yaz , and some basketball from a card show and a couple of Orrs I splurged on . enjoy seeing all the cards , one of my first posts.Donny
September-ish pickups. Got most of these at a card show in Cincinnati in late August. Just got around to recording my purchases and getting these into CS1's, so i'm counting these for September. Apologies for the dust. I've got dust everywhere as I unpack my cards after my move. These are for my personal collection and they'll get subbed to PSA the next chance I get.
April sub finally returned to me. Obviously the Renberg 10s were a highlight, however, here are the other 10s in the sub. The b&w auto is 90/99 and definitely the highlight of the 10s.

Timing is funny; both you AND the Yankees waiting for Severino to come back and it’s within a couple days of each other!!!

Set completion mail today. 1997 Topps Sandberg. Finishes off my basic Topps set
Then this now has me at 89% Completion on Super Bowl MVPs. I have one more incoming which leaves only
1963 Fleer Len Dawson
1965 Topps Fred Biletnikoff
1969 Toppd Larry Csonka
2009 Ultimate Julian Edelman
Here is the pickup
Got a couple others in but I will stick them in my Pistol Basic set thread in the Registry forum
Just one card recently --opened a 2019 First Off The Line ( FOTL) Panini Gold Standard box.
Thought it had a chance at Gem but I missed a minor surface issue. Sigh - no matter its card # 01/10
of a HOF QB. The Regular level sub it was on took 33 business days so not too bad. The cards thick
and thicker cards always tend to have issues as many of you are fully aware.

I always wanted one of these, especially the blue /75. for the price, I couldnt pass it up. Corners are sharp, its gotta be the T/B centering.
I love that card and for the record I had a light blue 1960. Rookie Stars of Bregman that also got an 8. Thought grade was incorrect. Popped the case and it came back a 9. So if you think it will bump it is worth the risk

thought about it, just worrying about that centering. I know the corners should be at least PSA 9 worthy.
Have been eyeing one of these for years and have regretted not getting it over and over again. Finally bit the bullet and picked one up.
I've always felt it to be one of the more under-appreciated cards of Tom. Despite my general disdain for horizontal cards I love the eye appeal of the autographics set.
This isn't a card pickup, but I picked up this doll sitting in a chair. I use it to keep my wife out of my Joe Louis card shrine room. I placed it outside my Joe Louis shrine room. It creeps her out. She stays away.

A classic

My 12th card of the Bob Gibson Topps set. I still need 1959, 1960, 1962, 1963, and 1964 to finish the set.

I'm not sure what it is, but I have always liked the '59 Musial. Just a cool card in my opinion.
That '71 Gibson though!

Today's mail finished up my 1996 Leaf Signature Series Andy Pettitte run. I got the Silver today, but here they are all together.

The Factory All Star Game version. Grabbed it before it goes all Acuna'ish monetarily speaking.
Bought this raw pretty cheap.
Just got it back form PSA. I'm pleased.

This ‘70 OPC set arrived today. Having a blast reading all the backs and putting this in a binder.
1970 the NHL is full of stars - Orr, Howe, Mikita, Hull, Esposito’s, Bucyk, Beliveau. And rooks of Clarke, Perrault, Park, Lapointe, Sittler.
Nice!
Just FYI the big stack is 76 and the small 77.
