I’m adding a second entry. I hope that is ok. I have always said that this should be up for consideration for most beautiful baseball card ever created and when I recently dug it out I was reminded how well it stands out even next to some of the more beautiful pieces in my collection. You’ve almost certainly seen the image many times and measured against the 1952 Topps Mantle, the T206 Cobb Red Back, the 1954 Topps Hank Aaron and even a Cracker Jacks Joe Jackson, the colors, imagery and border of this item make this one of the pieces in my collection that would also look completely at home in an art gallery. This is my copy; I am not sure if this is still the case but it was once the 2nd highest graded example (by anyone) and I’m not sure if you’ll see one that’s much nicer. Iconic brand. Iconic ball player. Iconic card.

When I think of the most beautiful Emmitt Smith card, I think of the 2000 stadium club tunnel vision fold out. Printed on high-quality photo paper, the image is super glossy and it literally looks like he's going to run off card. I feel bad for Todd Bowles because he's about to get trucked.
To go with the other mini theme of this thread, the same pic for the 2000 stadium club card was actually first used on Emmitt's 1991 wild card # 46
This card might be one of the few cards that is priced higher based solely off its image. It appears in the beckett listings just because the card is a piece of art.

What is with the weird airbrushed jersey/arm for the person on the left side of this photo? Did they not have rights to capture the back of what I presume was an official in the photography?
It’s one of the very few gorgeous, vintage and recognizable items that hasn’t priced itself out yet for the average collector. And since many are scrapbook removed they’re often low grade with some back damage (inside of a cereal box, who cares?) and usually a clean front. You’ll definitely find a few here and there on eBay. Wait for an auction and you’ll have a chance for a bargain, too. And now you don’t have to cut them to get them in a PSA slab; the Jumbo has more than enough room the full Fancy Frame which wasn’t true to my knowledge before Jumbo.
Good luck

I'm not a die hard Yankees fan or a supercollector of his....but the 2015 Topps Jeter is amazing! Photo caught his last at bat in Yankee Stadium, a walk off hit for the win and the fact that you get it just about any color(or chrome+colors) that you like is fantastic! "Topps Now" began the very next season and I think this card may have been the inspiration.
Considering what PSA has let slide for a few years I'd say the lower right of the Roberto is one of their less egregious errors but, I'm not here to talk about the past in english or spanish so back on topic.
Mariano's best looking card.
Non Sport beaut, and a reminder why I collect for fun.
The 71 Banks is outrageous.
The Jeter 2 hands up is a card I have.
I did not know this was his last Yankee stadium AB.
I had taken my son to see this game as I had promised him I would the year before.
His fav player was Jeter.
We had great seats just behind the Yankee dugout via stubhub.
Cost me a pretty penny but worth it.

1974 football set has some of the best photography in all of Topps imho. It seems that Topps decided sometime around 1972 that instead of the normal poses that they would try to capture more in action shots on the card.
p.s. that Ray Guy card is one of the toughest cards to get centered!
You sir are correct. Took me awhile to find one that was centered good L/R. I had to give up some T/B but that's ok.
I believe there was about 10 cards that another member asked for grading we matched 100% in out grades.
Basically PSA was the same grades also. I would say a 7 is even a tad generous. When we believe PSA missed low we complain. When they miss high we do cartwheels!!!!!!!!
As a Yankee fan I agree the 93 Rivera may be his nicest card

It's funny, Brian. I'm not completely sure why, but I feel like '84 Donruss is still something special as well. Just cool cards from my heyday as a child collector, I guess.
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.
1981 was my introduction to baseball cards. I was not a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, but something about the 1981 design with the yellow borders to frame the action, to go with the black pillbox cap at the bottom, made for some good looking cards that immediately drew me to them as a kid just starting to collect. Willie Stargell, Dave Parker, Phil Garner, John Milner, and John Candelaria immediately come to mind. This is not my photo, but a screen grab of a team set for sale on eBay.

Looks like a very scared Pruitt running for his life from a Frankenstein-like Mean Joe.
That 35 Lou is probably one of the pieces pieces ever made. I am going to put that on my ebay search list.

That 71 Clemente got a very generous grading. The lower right side should knock it down a 9

90% of the 1984 Donruss BB falls into the category of beautiful cards. Still my favorite '80s set to this day.

I'm not sure if this is a truly beautiful card, but I do know it has captivated me for decades. You be the judge.

@ahopkins I'd say that definitely qualifies.
