I'd say something but I can't seem to figure out what it might be. I will settle on nice!!! that tone draped over any coin would be lovely, draped over this version is remarkable. Bruce, can I come over sometime to look at you collection??
Bruce, your NEWPS never disappoint........and they can be deceptive. I assumed you had just added another fabulous dollar to your collection, only to later realize that it was a special variety called a dime.
18th and early 19th Century US Coinage, especially high grade examples such as the coins pictured in this thread are very beautiful, with multiple depictions of Lady Liberty and of an Eagle (our national bird).
It would be interesting to have examples of these coins (or photos of them) viewed by a cross section of US society today (i.e. 1,000,000 persons across the country) and have the persons who view the coins provide their opinions on the coins, Lady Liberty and the Eagle.

That's could be pretty easy to do in metropolitan areas with museums. Just get the Smithsonian and other museums to put coins outside their building and on street posts like they often do and then interview people in front of the buildings.
Thank you for sharing. Most of us will never be able to own a rare collectible coin like this and you are gracious enough to share the pictures with all of us.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
Looking at a blown up photo of the coin shows doubling on the date and possible doubling on some of the stars and some of the dentils on the obverse side of the coin.
On the reverse there appears to be no doubling, except possibly on a small portion of the ribbon.
Does anyone know if machine doubling is present on coinage from the 18th century? If so, is the doubling on this coin machine doubling?
If not, what type of doubling does this coin have?

Another "wow" coin.
Phenomenal strike, and looks PL. Nice one! Where has it been hiding?
Wow. For a coin like that, they should have removed it from the holder for pictures, then reholdered it!
Nice widget
My oh my, that's the nicest toned coin I've ever seen, it's a beauty...
@ricko is ill.

When I'm 223 years old I probably won't look this good. What a beautiful jewel.
But your coins might. Live on through your coins
I wouldn't be surprised if that coin spent many years in a Wayte Raymond album. Outstanding eye appeal!
Ah....That's the Ed Price coin! Fabulous!! Congrats!!
I was the underbidder on that one in the Ed Price sale, and was also the underbidder on this other Ed Price coin from the sale:
(I snagged this one afterward, more than 6 years ago!)
Very nice coin!!! That is a nice dime!
The nicest small eagle I’ve ever laid my eyes on. It’s the bomb.
Congratulations 👍🏻👍🏻
That's a beautiful coin !
I also like the eagle on that 1792. I think that's my favorite eagle........
Somehow I had a gut feeling given the title and the member that started the thread that this was going to be something sweet...

That coin is in amazing condition considering it's age.... It must have been 'collected' from the time it was minted. Cheers, RickO

Amazing coin.
So will they do trueviews without removing the coin from the holder? I've wondered about if I could do that with OGHs
Amazing.
Mesmerizing.

I disagree with My Oh My. Rather....My Oh My Oh My.
I had to come back for a second look. My jaw hit the floor again.
WOW😳
‘my oh my’ is the understatement of the year. ;-)
