Didn't matter to me. I just played the odds board.

If lower odds would have been up there on Elmer Fudd, i'd be rooting for Elmer come tee off time. :D

djr tossed his hat into the ring last night (about 48 hrs too late) on the other thread, but "the more, the merrier" immediately came to my mind and thus i decided to extend an offer

HOWEVER, we're less 70 hours away from the start of the tournament, so if we don't pick up the pace this may all be for naught

i'll let @orioles93 sleep for a few more hours, but if he doesn't wake up soon i'm going to stick his hand in warm water

I’m totally kidding and just happy to be involved. When I used to drink and draft, we’d set a timer and after such time the next person could pick and reset the timer on the first person’s pick. Repeat as needed. It wasn’t heartless - some people can’t make decisions. Not that that’s the case here. Still, kept it moving for sure.

allow me to add a tidbit before another name drops off...

yes, injuries do happen in golf, too, on occasion. Justin Thomas has yet to be selected and is an absolute stud, but he has been dealing with a nagging wrist injury. it forced him to withdraw from his last tournament, in fact. so if you're thinking about him, then it might behoove you to fire up the search engine first. if he is drafted and happens to eject before the start of the tournament, whoever took him can make another selection after everyone else has.

you'll be penalized slightly, but it won't be the death penalty

If anyone is interested in trading for my pick, I will do so for one Topps 1952 Mantle, PSA 5 or better, preferably well centered.

You can keep your current pick, so then you would now have two picks in the contest.

I just saw it on Ebay listed for $25,000,000.

Nice card but I'll stick with my trade for the lower price Mantle.

frankly i'm not sure. if the warriors mess around and force me to maneuver via a hedge again, in all likelihood me.

if i get it over 4 figs we may have to have a British Open contest. i believe it's in mid-July, so the draft will start the first week of June

May you hopefully become the James Holzhauer of Sports Talk. :)

If having these contests keeps bringing you good luck, then you simply have to keep doing them, right? As word gets around, you could have many more CU members wanting to pick a name for a shot at the prize. Who doesn't like a nice free roll? :)

Having looked at the Bovada list, I had sort of earmarked a few guys below Phil figuring we’d go pretty much straight down the list with some variation along the way. I didn’t expect one of the guys with the 7th best odds (with Justin Thomas having withdrawn) to be available at pick 17. I watch a decent amount of golf but don’t follow it very closely so was going to go best available no matter what.

Hopefully not a bad omen for Tiger. ABC News reports his restaurant is being charged with a wrongful death lawsuit. A 24 year old man who drank at Tigers business in Florida left with 3x the legal limit, crashed his car and died. Tiger gave a brief statement today at Bethpage.
