The more prolific "Wabbit" which most people have interacted with is Wabbit2313. Wabbit has not been to the forum since 2006.

Ah so its the wabbit I was thinking of after all. There are a lot of twists and turns here.

So maybe some people can't stay on the straight and narrow with a single ID , they need to create extra personalities to express parts of their nature to keep the main one clean?

The long time member with multi-badges, posts and points has been permanently banned.

Apparently he had a Jekyll & Hyde personality. Bet it was fun.

Except if you read the Pedro threads which started the whole unraveling - Wabbit was arguing with his own alt while complimenting Pedro (another alt).

This wasn't just protecting your main identity, it was a whole little play executed to either anger or amuse us [you decide].

I'm not confused about what happened. I am confused about what would possess him to do it.

He was actively fighting WITH HIS OWN ALT which ultimately dragged in other members and then HE HIMSELF dragged in the mods. That can only be designed to create drama and lead to bannings. But why would he do it??? We'll never know, unless someone knows wabbit off these boards.

I'm with Bronco, how did we miss that?? I'm confused because of the two Wabbit's and knowing who was who. i will say again, I thought the Wabbit I knew here was solid, maybe I'm in the minority.

    Very well stated CP

The banning of that person was odd but to me not that big deal.. The posts were not questionable in nature like the floof of is this ddo or pmd. How are earth do new people know that term.

Always wonder what reason the POLL guy got the hook? Guess his crime was flooding the forum at once? and if he spread it out a couple of days would be fine. QA has a couple of those and did not get removed. So is QA free reign for Trolls as well to flood that room if so desired?

Again the issue is those new and old posters alike posting junk and as long as the moderaters move it over to QA would be fine. even nicer would ban and delete of all posts.

I still see the same culpirts in the main forum.

Flag those spammers and maybe like their increased interest in subject something can be done about them

You especially seem to fixate on these guys.. maybe just keep scrolling? If you don't post the thread falls, I personally flip through channels I don't like the content.

TBH, and not that I care too much about folks who do this here (and thus do not pay careful attention), but I also thought that the prolific wabbit character was a bona fide member.

Suppose I wish to teach members something and post an image. Then my alt purposely posts an incorrect guess. Then I explain why the alts guess is incorrect and ask him to guess again. Back and forth, pulling out all kinds of options. Speeds up the learning process and introduces other things into the discussion.

There is NO REASON to do it that way.

Teachers (like me) do it all the time in class. We dialogue with ourselves. You could post an image, you could post an incorrect guess AS YOURSELF, then explain why that guess would be reasonable but not supported. There is NO REASON to post as a secret ALT to do what you suggest...other than your own amusement.

Here is an interview I was watching the other day. The guy is a comedian and talks about pranking/trolling people. You have to be aware that anything online can be made up or fake. You can go to 3:00 to hear him describe it. By the way, the show is pretty good to watch. They are in their 8th season I believe.

And then any of the threads started by @PedroP, particularly the Morgan $ one if I recall correctly.

So did I. I had no problems with Wabbit. I don't understand why that game was played. (or why WE were).

Alts. villains and others with too much time on their hands have a tendency to try to get back at former heads and nemesis':

    Arguing with your own alt....

Sounds like that guy in the movie Psycho who argued with his mother (and you heard both sides of the argument) and at the end you find out she is just a mummified skeleton. :o
