If that color and toning was on a Morgan I imagine most here would have straight graded it.
I disagree. I can't and won't speak for the others, but my opinion would not change if this were a Morgan Dollar. The colors and the patterns do not look like what I would expect from one of monster bag toned Morgans either.
to me the coins shown in thread are not up to par, if I were to purchase . Maybe I'm spoiled in the fact I have a 42 inch screen. They look kinda chalky, but they give a good idea of what to expect.
I hate this coin in a holder and I hate it raw. It’s just my opinion. It wouldn’t bother me if someone I respected loved it. It’s just not my jam. To each his own.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I have no problem with this coin or it’s various adornments. Or the fact that the same groups think differently about it on any given day. I just won’t buy it.
Can’t we as collectors take SOME responsibility for ourselves and our checkbooks? This is getting ridiculous.

Even if both PCGS and CAC is wrong, PCGS is only on the hook for about 50 bucks. Dude who paid 9K, a bit more than that!
This is the key point here. Show me a coin like this in a 67 holder and it's an entirely different ballgame.
Give it another year or two of submissions and maybe we'll see it in a 67 holder. One of the Northern Lights Morgans went from MS64 to MS67 CAC. The coin already has its foot in the door.
Well David Hall once mentioned that he felt most all toned Peace dollars are AT and for a while they slabbed them just like all those AT ASE examples that managed to get into graded holders. I used to collect toned Peace $1's in the early 90's when there was no major color up charge. I've never seen a double sided toner like this before.
To Err Is Human.... To Collect Err's Is Just Too Much Darn Tootin Fun!
On toned Peace $1's you kinda got to go with your gut as to how it toned. If it's got mind bending toning which can't be easily rationalized on how it occurred it's best just to stay away. This isn't the first time nor will it be the last time in this hobby a fool and his money got separated.

IF may , this is just a demo of my camera capabilities. Do not jump to conclusions, this is just a thought on chalky. OK. See what I can do. NO I WOULD NEVER!!! WATCH THIS, and think cut and place.

I have no idea how the coin toned. It does not appear to be paper, end roll, wood, album, bag, etc., so the only thing left is AT. I would not buy the coin raw or blessed by PCGS and CAC. Someone out there knows exactly how the coin was toned.
Given the extreme darkness of the toning at the top of the reverse, I would be concerned about owning this coin over the long haul, NT or not.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

No doubt there are. Collectors usually try to avoid them.

Of course there are. And that is why I thought we had CAC: to protect us from problem coins like this one.

Wrong thread?
sry, brother!
It's no big deal - I was confused if it was meant for this thread.
Cool,So how was your day. LoL
Nothing will change going forward on this coin unless the buyer has an issue with the history of it. Coinfacts is not the same structure as carfax.
