i second grotes mention of pack limitation on first so-so hours so errybody gets a chance.
i also like the “throw everything up and lets just see what sticks” notion. including that ‘88 fleer box 😉
There was a set of group break rules that developed over time that promoted inclusivity and fairness. They could always use a review, but I suggest you copy them from one of the old group break threads and start from there.
It’s great to see the excitement of a group break ramping up here on the board again!!! Collecting together is one of the truly great things that is possible in our hobby. It would be a shame if any of this was tarnished by forgetting what we’ve learned about providing good advance notice, having reasonable start times (taking into account time zone differences), limiting requests for specific products per time periods and making sure that the “biggest fish” aren’t getting full boxes leaving not enough individual packs for the “little fish”
The most important thing we did was start a completely new thread for the break ahead of time and requiring all requests to be posted in the new thread GOING BY THE POSTED TIMESTAMP IN THE THREAD. That prevents anyone, including the break organizer, from getting the “jump” on anyone else. If you post before the official start time as indicated by the system-generated timestamp in the post, not you own computer, then your request is no good.
We have a few options up now. Anything else on the site you would suggest?

I don't think you will be alone. Steve Hart mentioned in his first email to me that he was sorry that the current inventory of 70's was a bit light but I guess the 80's are going to be the new 70's!

Thanks Dave. I am confident we will have a fun break. It is great to see the excitement of another group break on the boards. I used to love taking part in the breaks that were held on here. Hopefully this all runs smoothly and will be the "first" break of 2019 and not a one off!

2005 U.D. Hockey series 1 sounds good
This box has been mentioned earlier. I would like some hockey in here even though I don't really collect it. I will put a request in with Steve.
I am busy at work so I will update more when I get a chance. Here is the finalized product list for the break. Since we have the product and pricing down I will go ahead and plan to start the break this Sunday at 5:00 pm Pacific time, so plan accordingly. More information including rules of the break, shipping rates, wrapping rates, etc. will be forthcoming as I have time today.
Please note that I did change the 1982 Donruss Case from the $1900 to the $2000 version. Steve let me know that the $1900 case was just 20 wrapped boxes, the $2000 version was the FASC wrapped version. I will double check again, but I believe he said that the 82 Donruss case will be wrapped with no added charge FASC, so for under $5 more per box I made the decision to call the audible knowing the $90 boxes were not FASC.
Please note the price on the left is for the BBCE List price for the box/case. The price to the right of the item has the 5% discount and is the actual cost per pack/box for our break. Shipping and shrink wrapping/labelling the pack or box will be optional and extra.
Sounds great, Steve! Looking forward to Sunday night!

Happy to give a little back to the boards. Thanks for the shout out.
Anyway, back to work for me. Some exciting news though, there is a late addition to the final product list. We have added a 1979 Topps Hockey Box to the break. A chance to pull a RC of the Great One. Where are the hockey collectors? Get in here!!!!
I would like to thank Steve here for doing this. I noticed the 79 Topps hockey this am and contacted Steve about possibly adding it even though it was late in the game. He contacted Steve Hart today and it has now been added. Thank you to both Steve's for doing this. Tony

Thanks Tony. I was on the fence about adding the 79 Topps Hockey before receiving your message. I am glad you contacted me in time to convince me to get it added.
Its nice to see all the excitement about an upcoming group break. These have been so much fun in the past
that I'm happy there's another one taking place. Thanks to Steve, and thanks to 70toppsfanatic (Dave) for the
great job you have done organizing these breaks in the past. Don't think any of us old timers have forgotten!LOL
Steve will start a new thread at 8 pm eastern time on Sunday. You will need to post this in that thread. Posting here before the official start of the group break will not get you included in the break.

I am pretty sure BBCE will ship to Canada, but I am also pretty sure that the rates will be different than posted. I will touch base with Steve tomorrow. If you want to go ahead and reserve packs/boxes today feel free. If shipping is not possible or too expensive we can remove your requests then, no harm done.
