My cherry of the year...Bought as a 64 CAC and now a 64+ CAC

Population 94 & 2 higher
I shouldn't be able to own this coin but I do.
My Saint Set
Tough question, but today I'm going to have to go with this one.
Best wishes to all for a happy and healthy New Year.
I picked this up over thirty years ago. Bought it from Bill Fivaz. Showing
off a coin that is on the wish list of many VAM collectors and letting them
examine/study it has been fun. Todd did a great job with the image!!
I've had this coin a long time. To me it's just neat. No TPG.
Todd did a wonderful job!!
I just like this coin. Lots of luster and a clean cheek. My lovely wife bought this for me.
The rest of my favorites are Darkside coins. Once again Todd did a great job!!
Happy, safe and healthy New Year to all!!
Currently this but doesn't mean I wouldn't sell it. I've sold many favorites

@Realone On the obv. the cotton blossoms and leaves are tripled. Since its discovery
in the 1960's it has been referred to as the "King of VAM's". When I bought mine there were less
than 25 known. Now around 75-80 is what I read a couple of years ago. I hope that
@messydesk will see this and correct what needs to be corrected and add more.
Had to think about it for a moment....but I finally came to the conclusion that this dollar is my favorite:
Wait....Wrong picture.
It's the "one" that can capture the imagination of just about anyone who isn't even into coins. A big, silver, 17th century US dollar. I can also brag that it's now worth probably 3 times what I paid for it, making the "monetary investment" angle seem almost reasonable.
(Given the size difference between the SBA and Draped Bust, I obviously need new pictures. The staple scratch IS there....but not nearly as visible as the pic shows.)
My favorite coin is one on horse racing...
Best wishes and a happy New Year to all!
Yup every one be safe out there, Happy New Year to all as well.
This one was my favorite this year.
Hoard the keys.
All you have to do now, is get this in a 65 holder!
@Type2 Nice "2" feather. How many different do you have?

I have many favorites. Like with children, it is usually best to keep your favorite to yourself.
But here is one that is up there in the list of favorites.

About Findley Ridge
Like some others, I have so many coin, medals and tokens that I really like, it’s hard to chose just one. Here is the best candidate, a 1795 Small Eagle $5 gold piece. This early gold small eagle was the only classic coin design that I did not have in my collection. I had seen some of examples of this coin, but they always had problems. Many years ago, I had tried to obtain one of these coins through a trade, but the dealer would not go along despite the fact that the terms were reasonable.
I was at the second day of a Baltimore coin show, and I was walking by a dealer’s booth when he was putting this coin in his case to show. I asked to see it before he had put the piece on the felt. It took me less than 30 seconds to know that this was the right piece. I was surprised to when he gave a reasonable price and purchased it.
I am a firm believer that sometimes things are met to be, and that was the case here.
I like the colors on this one. The centers of the coin are very flashy. Still looking for other toned Seated Dollars:
Hard to pick just one. I do have my "top ten" but on any given day I might pick any one of them as my favorite. Today, I guess it's this one... Not a high $ value coin but I do like the look.

This one has special meaning for me.... Cheers, RickO

I had a 1797 10X6 in PCGS vf20 several years ago and sold it, bought it back, and sold it again all within 2 years-that was 5 years ago.Ever since I've been looking for a half decent deal on a small eagle dollar (any date/type).It took some time but the end result is very satisfying.Note-the scratch across her face is on the holder.
Super coins all. My favorite today:
Here are a few that I really like, as I could never pick just one:
The 1920-D is special, because it's the first coin that I purchased, when I got back into registry set building and decided to go 'all out' in 2009. Strike is remarkable.

The 1923-S is special, because of the strike and surfaces. It capped off a long search and this coin had been off the market for 15 years, when I purchased it back in 2010. It arrived on my birthday.

The 1917 S obverse is special, because of it's strike, luster and the fact that it is a major key date.

The 1921-D is also a major key date and is my most expensive coin (not necessarily in terms of value but in terms of purchase price). It was the show stopper that I needed to complete my Walker One Per Date set. Luster is impeccable.

The 1916-S has an amazing strike, surfaces and originality and is CAC stickered.

I would also add my 1918 S, 1919 D and 1919 S to this list.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I guess my favorite was purchased this past year. With all of the classics in this thread, I'm going against the grain with a modern proof. Ugly design, killer toning.

As with many here, I've got a bunch of coins in my "FAVES" list. Most are more classic coins, but I'll throw in a more modern one for this thread...

Plenty of great coins posted! I'll also pick one of my current favorites.
I have many favorites, too tough to choose just one. So I’ll just post this one even though others are also my favorites.

One if not the only one of the nicest 16-s Walkers I ever seen. Great coin
