Usually for '75s I focus on centering and lack of tilt but while I was scrolling through my searches the other night this card stopped me in my tracks. The print job is just stunning. The black is perfect. No snow, no signs of age, just deep and rich like it was printed yesterday. I immediately feel in love with it and said screw the centering.
I should add, there's another reason this card is remarkable. The seller was yepbg and I didn't shart myself when I looked at the price. I can now walk the hallowed halls of this hobby and proudly pronounce "I have made a full-price/no discounts purchase from yepbg."
It's like people from the film industry saying "I worked on The Abyss."
I posted this in the April pickups thread but it really belongs here because it was the Bird/Magic/DrJ cards in this thread that motivated me to finally replace the one I sold off years ago. Not to mention I was going to run out of MJ cards to post here soon too.

Wow, two iconic cards that both look much better than their grade. Centering on '70 Topps is such a beach on some cards. That Pistol is just dialed in perfectly.

That's a beauty of a 5. I'm guessing the surface thing in the 'N' in Colonels is what knocked it down. Those are really nice edges for a '72.

Nice 7! Not sure what it is about the '71s but you can find some really nice looking 7s. I was looking for an 8 but was pleased to find this 7.
Love the Ice inscription. I see the 1981 Magic signed cards have gone from $80 to $350 recently. I wonder what the move and value on these cards would be?
That is a very nice looking 7 of Wilt. I have been on the lookout for a 71 Chamberlain for my collection. That one is a keeper for sure. Congrats.

Thanks. For vintage basketball I pretty much live in the PSA 8 realm. But like the Wilt, there's been a few times when the card I ended up finding that I liked turned out to be a 7. Here are the other two times I "settled" for a 7:

I thought you were posting the same photo over and over until I checked the cert numbers. Great centering on all of those!

Wow!!! That is a very nice Bird/Magic rookie.
Recently added this Pistol Pete Rookie. I downgraded from a PSA 6 I had. This one looks better.

Great looking mid-grade rookie card. Congrats. Never easy finding a nicely centered 72 Topps much less a rookie card. Well done.
thanks yes that's correct.

Sweet Iceman! I have the cheap modern version. I do like it though because of the inscription, which he didn't do on all of them.
