Is there a chance you would find it in your heart to rescind your disagrees without any if's and but's ?

I resinded my disagree to Paradise only because I didn't know I gave it.
Must have been scrolling over the button and did it by accident.
I think others have to come out and tell you......unless there is a way to find out what we did

No. It would suggest agreement and be disingenuous at this point.

Research fee: $30/hr
Verification/Quality Control fee: $30/hr.
Disagree Removal fee: $10 per item
Re-disagree (for ones you want back but mistakenly asked to have removed): $1 per item
New Disagrees: Free

I always find it strange when I get one (I have 318)... and many of those that I checked on, were for comments that seemed could not be disagreed with.... I suppose one can disagree with anything, but usually one would think there is a point to disagree with...Not something like 'Nice find, good luck with TPG.'.... Cheers, RickO
I wish there was some coding that no disagrees could be given until a person, for example, had been on the site for 6 months, or had 200 posts, and posts are locked after 60 days to prevent archaeological digs to hand out disagrees based on a current snit.

I broke the 100 mark, but nothing like Insider has collected, like some people collect numismatically. I'm bruised and broken but not beaten, lol. Seriously I can see honest disagreements but not vindictive ones.
RickO, I got two "Abuse" hits for a joke that was painless. it is clear from these past few days and threads that some members just don't like others and take some sort of spiteful pleasure from anonymously saying so. to my way of thinking it grows out of increased use of social media, as GotTheBug said. spite is a funny thing, a lot of times it equates to "I'll show you, I'll hurt me."
it all reinforces the right-ness of my CHOICE to have never had a cell phone or be involved with Facebook and Twitter.

I guess they just don't know anything about sports!

Why be subjugated to distasteful behavior in our hobby/business? IMO, a coin forum should be fun and educational. A "disagree" for no reason is not fun. Stalkers are no fun. Folks who claim they are being stalked when a member disagrees and posts a reason for the disagreement are aggravating. Uninformed posters are no fun either but they are here for our help. I think that It is better to survive in a "fun" environment than to live in a disagreeable one.
Hopefully, you reported your "friend." Later this week (after the mods read my report) I'll remove my abuse on your post that I left in order to make that report.

Disagree. Example: If (Pick a top professional who is a go-to man/woman for virtually anything numismatic) joined CU today, the sooner they started posting an opinion the better. AFAIK, there are only a few newbies who don't realize the power of a "disagree." I think they learn quickly after several long-time members "disagree" or "flag" them. We all have the power to leave a REPORT for disagreeable behavior. If more folks exercised that, it would be a better place.
Anyone who starts leaving multiple disagrees (especially to one member) should be REPORTED IMMEDIATELY! I suspect that a lot goes on behind the scenes here to keep CU fun and # One.
I just removed a few disagrees on a political topic. I have learned quite a bit from people that I have little in common with politically. We all share an interest in coins. In the future I think that I’ll avoid topics that are hot button issues. I understand that there is an overlap in people’s collecting interests. Enjoy your coins and keep up the good work informing people about the hobby of kings!
I think they should give us a new button. A zombie button. You get or give more than 5 flags/disagree in a day and you turn into a zombie for 24 hours and your icon temporarily changes.

PLEASE DON'T. You and I don't agree on several OT subjects that get injected into a thread BUT I do enjoy reading your level-headed posts that give another side of the subject.
Excellent idea with one exception: Multi-disagrees with a rebuttal given are exempt! It's too bad programming is so expensive. I'll bet with the input of long-time members (as a new poster I would not qualify to offer suggestions) this forum could be "tweaked" just a tad.
Funny thing I've noticed, the ancient coin collectors on another site don't have flame wars, disagreements (except for authenticity), and very rarely show any form of dislike toward another member. This field of collecting is more complicated and possibly filled with a more mature collector.
In almost 25,000 posts (not counting the few thousand that disappeared when the system was redone) I have accumulated 28 Disagrees. I can live with that.

I have 99 disagrees, and I image that most of them concern CAC. I'm not going to write stuff with which I do not agree to make people happy. If you have no disagrees, you are either perfect and have never made a mistake, which is impossible, or you are mealy-mouthed poster who can't take a controversial stand on any issue. I much prefer to be an honest person who has the guts to express their positions and opinions without reservation.
