Think of all the wasted food for these tokens that could be better used to feed the homeless...
Food production is a funny thing because the biggest issue of feeding people is infrastructure. Making food is easy the real problem is transport, preservation and distribution. In places like the US it isn't too hard to feed the hungry (Although we don't do a good enough job of it) but in places like Africa, Asia or the ME giving it is nearly impossible to safely give out food.
I wouldn't call Big Macs 'kau kau'. ;-) The one I had from the Ewa Beach store was terrible. Now I remember why I haven't had one in over 20 years. It took the lure of a token to sample that dreck.

Are you sure it wasn't one of those Hawaiian spam burgers? Maybe chopped up palm leaves instead of lettuce? Special sauce made with poi?

Zero here as McDonald's is not allowed on our Island!
I live on Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. Obama is taking another vacation here this month and causing quite a stir....lots of cheering and lines of people trying to get a glimpse of him!!!!!!! Note, he ate at a little restaurant in Oak Bluffs called "The Cardboard Box" and didn't get a token.
The 'Kau kau kitchen' is a program to feed the hungers by Saint Teresa church in South Maui
Their spread is probably better than Big Mac

On the rare occasions that i eat at fast food restaurants, I am a Burger King guy. If the two restaurants are close together, which is often the case, I'll head toward the Whopper.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I had one today. I asked the manager if I could pay for the Big Macs and just get the token and they said no. I haven’t had a Big Mac in 30 years and it was certainly was worse than I remembered and that’s not saying much.
As a joke I told my wife we could make a ton of money buying Big Macs and she was ready to go to every McDonalds in the area and buy 100 at each. She wanted to take them all to the Salvation Army. I told her those guys down there already have enough problems. Don’t want to make them Sick with this swill.
Through all of the Big Mac Hoopla I got 16 of the Tokens. Not a single #4 (1998 - 2008) in the bunch! Today I got a Jets Large Square Pizza at the Original Ryan Rd & 14 Mile Rd location in Warren, Michigan. Talk about great Food at a great price. Nothing at McDonalds can touch a Jets Pizza.

And it's not like he just snapped a photo on his smartphone. Back then it was a picture with real film and send it off to be developed.

I would prefer that over a Big Mac.

3, but my McDonalds ran out on the 2nd day so I only have 2 of the same.
I got my 5 for 1 complete set. Now I will save up monies to send them all to NGC for final grading.
I've had several Big Mac's, but don't do the coins. No interest at all.
I remember getting a Hamberger, Fries and a Coke for less than 50 cents.
Make sure both of you enter the "McD's sets each Contest". There are 2 tier and only if you want to beat the odd for a complete set prize

If you had fed the critters you might have been reported to the ASPCA for cruelty to animals.
