It looks good and comes with fries, but I do NOT see a shiny limited edition brass token included. :/

6, and I only had to eat 5 of them. Got extraordinarily lucky, considering I didn't get to choose any of my tokens.

Paid for it though. Not only with cash, mind you...

I ate two, put three in the refrigerator. Then I decided that they weren't going to get any better with age so I threw them away.

I tell myself that the two I ate were regular meals, so I only spent about $15 on the three discarded ones to get my set of 5 tokens, so $3 a token.

First the hunt was nerve-wracking but then it got fun.

P.S. - no homeless people where I live other than deer and raccoons and coyotes, but I didn't want to subject them to the special sauce.

I need to time mine with our local church St. Teresa's 'Hale Kau Kau' weekly program to feed the homeless <3
There are only a long block apart....I can just walk there.

Were they sort of 'in and out' burgers? :p

Slow on the way in, a bit faster on the way out.

And that's as graphic as I'll get. :D

None for me. When I was in my teens, though I used to consume a lot of their hamburgers and fries on a regular basis.

Nope, But for what you pay for a Big Mac you will get back 3 extra shiny quarters when you buy a double double, I think the Big Mac is 4.19 vs 3.40 for the Double Double

Keep it rolling - buy 7 of those In and Out thingies, take your $5 in savings, and after getting the McDonald's app with the $1 sandwich coupons you can buy 5 Big Macs with your savings, making the 5 token set essentially free. Brilliant! :p

I had three, that homeless guy had the others.
I got another on Friday and I opened it to pocket-piece it. I want to see how it looks circulated.

NGC says they are brass, 70% copper, 30% zinc. I'll bet it holds up well in circulation.

Any one else carrying one as a pocket piece?

If I remember, I'll definitely post pictures when it tones. So far it shows virtually no color or scratches. I've been carrying it for a few days, too.

The lucky ones may find the "misplaced patty" error.
I think they were only released in boxes of grits in an obscure company store in Appalachia.

I only ate one. I brought the rest home and the family ate them.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

You need to send this in to NGC or ANACS as the discovery piece.

    Edited to add:
Checking both of mine with that date, both are like the one on the Left. I'm calling it "Lower Patty Position"

Then I'd have to break the full bag I got.

Big Macs have too much bread, IMHO. They do taste good, though. I may buy one just to get a single novelty coin but have zero interest in completing the set. Then, it's back to Quarter Pounders and triple cheeseburgers for me. Lol.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

The double cheeseburger is fine with me.
    :)

I can lose a pound a day eating the REGULAR cheeseburger for lunch.
    But.... well..... no.

two! One for me and the other for my dog!

  • GoldminersGoldminers Posts: 4,279 ✭✭✭✭✭

I ate one after scraping everything off except the so-called meat, and even that was pretty bad.

My wife ate half of one and threw the rest away, my son ate one to get me the last one I needed in another part of town.

Two are in the freezer and will probably get tossed or maybe the "meat" in them fed to the dog,.

The 5 tokens are in air-tite plastic now, with a 50 year label under the stack for reference. These are destined possibly for grandkids when they are about 10 years old or so, along with a couple reverse proof sets.

I need someone in the family to collect coins, or there will be one really big auction someday.

The only thing I don't like about Big Macs is that they use that finely shredded lettuce that falls out and gets everywhere.
