Sequel to Waterfalls Photos and Waterfall Haiku with Videos of Waterfalls in China and Japan:
China’s stunning and spectacularly scenic Longjin Stream River Valley opens from a branch of the Yangtze River near the massive Three Gorges Dam.
At the secluded Valley’s head is located a hidden mystic waterfall that branches into multiple streams which are capped by an ethereal mist suspended above.
In this video share the serenity of the enchanting waterfall as it flows below the mystic mist.
Adding to the mystery and enchantment of this valley are the Hanging Cliff Coffins that one passes to reach the waterfall along with the monkeys that make their home at the valley’s head adjacent to the waterfall. The locale is also steeped in history with China’s ethnic Tujia Minority Tribe having found refuge there.

The Kegan Waterfalls in Nikko Japan are heralded as, one of, if not the most spectacular waterfalls in Japan.
In this below linked video filmed as the falling waters emerge after a winter of ice and snow one can experience the unique beauty of the waters cascading 320 feet through the ice and snow from a high cliff to reach an emerald pond and stream below.
The scene opens from a vantage point at the base of the falls where the water flowing down from the emerald pond reaches a bubbling brook. Then the camera tilts upward to capture the entire flow of the waterfall.
This viewing location is itself only reachable by an elevator that survives as an engineering marvel of pre World War II Japan.

This morning the first snow of the season fell on Anchorage Alaska but the day’s sunshine quickly left it but a memory.
Enjoy today's afternoon views here in the below YouTube video. Seen are the fall foliage, blue sky, waters of Cook Inlet and the clouds on the horizon shrouding the distant mountains to include Denali - all while listening to the clickety-clack of an Alaska Railroad train seen winding its way along Cook Inlet’s coast.
Also seen are the tidal flats that separate the railroad tracks from the water as well as views of Anchorage’s port and small boat harbor.
While this below display is less vibrant, my YouTube video does capture a unique explosive episode of the Aurora's electrical magnetic display unlike any I have ever seen in person or as filmed by others. The flashing is even accompanied by sounds of the machine gun like explosions.
It is almost as though witnessing a celestial phenomenon akin to what one would see from a telescope in outer space watching the universe's creation:
We are starting to get some color here!
I take a picture of these trees every week whether it’s full colors or not, I send them to @lordmarcovan and his family…
As the foliage as viewed from my place turned golden with the onset of fall, two Bull Moose chose the setting below them for an epic battle that made the broadcast news. This has now been followed by a conflict above the same golden leafed trees. This time the battle is between the Sun's charged particles and the Earth's magnetic field manifesting itself in the Aurora display of the Northern Lights.
Captured just after the first day of snow in Anchorage Alaska, the golden leaves of fall still cling to the trees as seen in the below linked video of the spectacular Aurora display in the early morning night sky.
Watch as the curtain of Northern Lights dance above the illuminated fall foliage below.

In my below linked YouTube Video, watch as the steam rises from the thermal heated onsen waters of an outdoor Japanese cedarwood bath located in beautiful and historic Nikko Japan.
The surrounding Japanese garden also contains large individual sized immersion vessels filled wit the naturally heated onsen waters.
Overhead a bright blue sky adds a stunning backdrop to the crisp mid March morning.

Additional photos taken at the subject traditional Japanese Inn (Nikko Toshugu Koyoen Inn) in Nikko along with selected photos taken at the Nikko Toshugu shrine complex where Tokugawa Ieyasu, Japan's first Tokugawa Shogun, was enshrined after his death in 1605:
Following up prior postings, here is a newly posted YouTube Video of Japan's Kegon Falls taken from a different and higher vantage point:
Captured in mid March just as the snowy plateau above Nikko Japan’s stunning Kegon Falls begins to melt, watch as the falling waters cascade some 300 feet.
Viewed from the top of the falls at the plateau level one first sees the expansive snow covered plateau.
The camera then pans downward to capture the falling waters as they first reach an ice fronted emerald pond before flowing further downward in multiple streams overflowing from the cliff positioned emerald pond.
We are starting to get some color here!
I take a picture of these trees every week whether it’s full colors or not, I send them to @lordmarcovan and his family…
@asheland is very dedicated. 50+ weeks a year, every Monday morning, he sends us a picture of those same trees, taken from the same vantage point every time. It’s fun to watch the subtle changes through the seasons, especially like now, when they’re in fall color (which we don’t get much of down where I live). Also once or twice a year there will be snow on the ground (which we don’t get at all here).
