This is a photo of Harrogate Springs Pool in Wetumpka Alabama. It was built in the early 1950s. The water came from an underground spring in the wooded hills down a wooden trough. You can see the trough on the right of photo. It's the coldest water I ever swam in. My first trip there was the summer of '61. It's been closed for years, sure do miss those times.

When I was stationed in England we would always travel on the weekends through the country side. I told my girls about Don Quixote fighting the wind mills one weekend and after that when every the girls saw a wind mill they shouted Donkey Otey ,

Sad to see this wonderful old cinema torn down. I've walked by it dozens upon dozens of times thinking, wishing, it would be restored. What's going to built in its place?
