For this Friday eve - pictured is the all new KIA Minivan that isn't a Minivan, with an all new name, Carnival.
Pictured here in black and a dark gray that KIA calls Panthera Metal.
It was designed to look like a SUV which KIA calls a MVP rather than a Minivan.
The black one is the first, and only, top of the line (SX-Prestige) Kia Carnival MVP (Multi Purpose Vehicle) to arrive in my state to date. It sold today, the day after it arrived, for $4,000 over MSRP. The interior photos are from this Prestige model.
The Black SX-Prestige with its unique grill treatment:
The Panthera Metal lower level MVP:
And some interior views:
Along with cargo storage options:
And for good measure, here is an SUV parked next to the MPV for comparison:
And here are the three seat across second row as found on the lower trim levels instead of the double captains chairs pictured in my prior posting. This adds one additional seat using seating capacity to 8 from 7 this added middle of the second row seat is itself removable if you want the captain chair separation and if left in place can also fold into a table between the two outer second row seats.
Unlike the captains chairs on the top trim model, these seats are removeable so the cargo capacity can be even more expansive. So if you want all the upgraded features of the top of the line model to include the 12 speaker Bose sound system, opening dual sunroofs, and completely digital and expanded infotainment and instrument cluster screens, and the back seat video players, you can only get those with 7 seats and not 8.

^ In SoCal that is called a Chinese birthday cake. None here in the OC. I have to drive 60 miles to Chinatown in LA to get one. To make the drive worthwhile I get a Philippe's roast beef sandwich.
And just to keep this thread from slipping past page one where it apparently would otherwise remain inaccessible due to a current glitch in the website software that only allows access to page 1, here are added photos from today:
Pictured on the far right in the second photo is Mount Susitna, otherwise known as "Sleeping Lady" with her head on the left and snow robed body extended to the right. The photos were taken from the Captain Cook Monument located at Resolution Point.
"The bronze Captain Cook Monument has the famed explorer standing on a large wooden deck, looking out to sea -- toward the route he used when he explored Cook Inlet in 1778 aboard HMS Resolution. Captain Cook never actually reached Anchorage, but he sent his ship's master, William Bligh (known more famously for his inspiration of mutiny on the HMS Bounty). Cook failed to find the Northwest Passage in the inlet, so he was happy to leave the area after two weeks of exploring the channel.
From this park you can take in the same gorgeous views that Cook and his crew experienced. Susitna mountain, known to locals as the Sleeping Lady, is visible straight across the water. If you look towards the north on a clear day you're likely to see Denali (Mt. McKinley) towering over everything else. Other fun things to see here are the Anchorage dock and sunsets any time of year."

@1northcoin They look fabulous! I had no idea how expensive Anchorage is though. I guess it's a small price for the scenery.
Joke aside, it's actually a green woodpecker, common in Europe
