1northcoin: Have you been to Matsuyama? I love the bathhouse there. Also, the castle and it's history is incredible. And the history behind the Russo Japanese War, whereby Russian soldiers lived out their lives there is incredible. I love Japan. My son and granddaughter live there
Yes. I actually lived in Matsuyama on the Japanese “Island” of Shikoku for several months years ago and Know the castle there well. It is a beautiful location.
Is the bathhouse there fed by Onsen (hot spring) mineral waters? The Japanese Onsen experience is one of the highlights of a visit to Japan for us.

For this Friday's features, I have gone back and selected some night and evening views that I have taken over the years to share:
First - Chicago
A view from my front yard:
Overlooking Hawaii Kai on Oahu:
The moat bordering Kanazawa, Japan's Castle Gate:
An evening 2019 departure from Yokohama, Japan on the Diamond Princess with Yokohama's Bridge over Tokyo Bay:
Another view of Yokohama Bridge over Tokyo Bay with the Diamond Princess departing:
Mount Fuji as seen from the Bullet Train as evening approached:
An early evening view of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo:
The Imperial Gardens of the Imperial Palace:
The moat surrounding the Emperor's Imperial Palace:
The sun setting along the Yangtze River approaching Chongqing, China:
Along with a view of one of China's ethnic regions along a tributary of the Yangtze River near Hubei, China:
Accompanied by out local guide in ethnic dress:
For balance, here are some added evening views from the other side of globe. The first is in Saint Petersburg looking across the river Neva. It is followed by views along the waterway that connects Moscow to Saint Petersburg.

1northcoin: Where do you live? Your pictures are marvelous. You must travel a great deal.
Thanks. What is that saying, "The World is my oyster?"
Here is another photo from Japan. It is from last year during the Sakura Season and pictured is Himeji Castle where portions (the Ninja training school scenes) of the 1967 James Bond film, "You Only Live Twice" was filmed.
And speaking of movies and castles, you may recognize this as Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle that was featured in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
Ironically that movie was also based upon a writing by the James Bond author Ian Fleming. Fleming reportedly wrote the story for his son.
Along with a view from "Mary's Bridge" with my daughter posing.
A mistake I never made twice was letting my girlfriend drive my 1984 GT 350...she totaled it in an hour. Young and stupid! At least no one was killed that day but seeing all those old mustangs...
Came close a few times, especially on the roadway. Just as I was approaching a bridge in the dark of night I glanced to my right and there was a full grown moose standing right on the fog line inches from my vehicle.
The photo with the mountain in the background is gorgeous. How long of a summer do you get?
Thanks. We are getting close to 18 hours of sunlight now but after the end of the month that will decrease. Summer is over by September and we can expect to see snow by mid October.
With Friday officially here, first are the current blossoms on the apple tree in my yard:
And this one I came across going through a childhood photo album this week. It shows me with our catch from the first fishing trip I ever went on after returning from the Russian River on the Kenai Peninsula.

All my favorite spots were locked up this spring and I missed the rain, and the puddles to play in
I looked at this picture today and it made me think of that as this area has drawn into the long summer heat and drought
