For balance, here are some added evening views from the other side of globe. The first is in Saint Petersburg looking across the river Neva. It is followed by views along the waterway that connects Moscow to Saint Petersburg.
1northcoin. When were you in Kizhi? Wife and I were there on a river cruise in 2004. The really ornate building with all the domes was complete then. The weather was solid overcast but still got some good photos.

Our Viking hosted River Cruise from Moscow to Saint Petersburg was about 10 years after you were there. The Kizhi domes were under repair and/ or renovation.
With Friday officially here, first are the current blossoms on the apple tree in my yard:
And this one I came across going through a childhood photo album this week. It shows me with our catch from the first fishing trip I ever went on after returning from the Russian River on the Kenai Peninsula.
Just went back through the photo album again and found a picture from an even earlier fishing trip I had forgotten about. I was 5 years old and it was also to the Russian River on the Kenai Peninsula.
Those were the days as my dad would get a moose each fall to add to all the fresh caught salmon.

The young man is wearing a shirt of my favorite lake. Heading there Saturday for some relaxation.
Yes, good ole Lake Geneva! Historic, as well as, beautiful for some R+R. Thinking of retiring there someday? The Mansions there are breathtaking.
Retiring there would be nice.....my kids say I would get bored, especially in the winter months. Not to mention it’s moon money to be close to the water and I don’t think we would fare well in a big home that we would constantly be maintaining. So I will keep visiting and boating the lake. Take care!

I wonder if its ever paid out the jackpot?
.
I would be willing to bet it has not.
I bought this machine and it took over 2 years to hit the jackpot. Hit on 4/2/2020
The other machine I got at the same time has not hit yet.
I would think the amount of play on that $1000 machine would be low.
thanks my mom who was a high school teacher in the early 1980's then we moved to Waco in the late 1980's and she became a teacher at a learning center and stayed at that job till she died in 1992 at the age of 49
this is the last known photo of my mom she was about late 30's to mid 40's in this and a teacher at the learning center, she loved teaching that was her passion, loved by the kids she taught and the parents respected her

This is, I believe from 1910, it’s in the old cemetery in downtown Waynesville NC.
And this, in the same cemetery, I believe is the oldest stone. It appears to have a death date of 1849. It’s very hard to read.
Very cool though. I’d expect a lot of these early grave stones in Boston or New York, but not so much in western North Carolina.
