POLL....Have you ever deleted a thread ?

It seems so common lately. Personally, a deletion has never occurred to me.

I think you should delete this thread....just for the irony.
The moderators did it for me a few times.
... and I didn't even ask.
I see nothing wrong with doing so.
I had an issue with which I needed help resolving. Help came, problem resolved, thread deleted to keep from hurting feelings.
What’s wrong with that?
Because dummies as I am OPEN IT to see what was deleted. That's what's wrong.
On two different occasions I've been writing a reply to a discussion and it was "Poofed" before I could post what I was going to add. Sad waste of time.
You can't delete a thread, only your comments in said thread,
For clarification purposes.

The Moderator can delete it ("poof") but we mere mortals cannot.
Just add "delete" to the subject line and you are sure to get lots of responses.
No never have and likely never will.

Me neither.
I have supported deleting other peoples' threads on occasion....
For those forum members who have a habit of starting a thread and then later deleting it, we should all make generous use of the quote feature to preserve the original post.

Deleted thread 3 times:

1. Wrong forum
2. Seconds after posting realized it was too controversial ; deleted before @ricko catch it
3. ....a good thread becoming too heated for our own good...so I changed the subject line to deleted

I've deleted a few duplicate threads about a news event due to laziness on my part to first check and see if a thread on the topic had already been started. LOL
Yup...just delete and wait for @ricko (the deleted-thread-killer) to respond before the thing finally dies sometime the following morning
Just once. I posted one of my "British Kings "Bullet Book" series in "Questions and Answers" because I didn't realize that I was up one category. I put "deleted" in the title and explained why in the body of the first message.
