:) This little Indian got my attention in a big way, so I bought it. If you feel like guessing the grade you're more than welcome to do so. Graded by pcgs in an older dove grey holder.
Comments are also welcome.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting, Joe

I never was any good at grading concave strikes (AU58+)...although yours is a very nice example!

I know the grade but that looks like a strong example for that grade. LOVE the reverse especially.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

I'll say MS64. I like this design very much and have assembled a date set of the quarter eagles. The 5 buck coins are a little out of my financial means.

I'll say 64 because of the dark spot on the reverse.

These are so tough to grade especially from photos.
    58 or 64?

  • ad4400ad4400 Posts: 2,033 ✭✭✭✭✭

Not my series at all but very attractive . If I had to WAG, I’d say a great looking strike, great eye appeal and an apparent dearth of hits gets it to 64?

  • AuroraBorealisAuroraBorealis Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭✭✭

Very pretty! I would not have a clue but I will take a shot at MS65...

    64+/65

  • BruceSBruceS Posts: 1,348 ✭✭✭✭✭

From the the small photos i would say 62, zooming in I would say 58 due to a lot of hits. Slider all the way

I’m in with the 63 crowd. Not seeing the scuffle of lower grades, and the eagle’s shoulder is well defined as are the feathers on the obverse. The dirt is indicative of a lower grade tho. Beauty!

I am also worried about that, Jon. Worse than that I think this Indian put a speare in me. I REALLY like this series and it scares me :#

Scares you that you might start collecting the series?? It's a pretty short series with only one key that takes $$$$.

Actually it would be an easier set to do than the Buffs by year and MM.

Those coins sure are hard to grade.

After reviewing the coin and thread and grade, I'm not sure what that's not a 65. I don't see a hit on the thing.

    Nice coin.
