Re: So who had the sweetwest swing
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area it was and is Will Clark for me. He was my childhood sports hero. Wore 22 on all my baseball and basketball teams after him. He had an underrated caree. He had really great numbers to start his career but tailed off and didn't finish strong enough to be more than a fringe HOF… -
Re: Houston Astros target of painfully accurate Olympic rings joke
<< <i> Ichiro is not a power hitter, and he isn't even near the class of Boggs, and Ichiro is severely overrated. >> If this is your argument why Ichiro is not a good hitter, than you're right, it isn't worth arguing. Ichiro's 162 game average is near identical to Pete Rose (a pretty good hitter) Ichiro G PA AB R H 2B 3B… -
Re: In their prime: Gibson or Koufax
<< <i>Gibson in 1968 was awesome.......Someone could show the freakish Koufax stats home vs away. I believe if I remember correctly...Koufax was unhittable in Dodgers stadium and just like league average on the road.============Stat guys "Help me out". Re: 2012 SF Giants discussion: NL West Champs
Giants lineup today: Pagan CF, Scutaro 2B, Sandoval 3B, Posey C, Pence RF, Arias SS, Belt 1B, Blanco LF With Arias and Crawford being somewhat interchangeable, this is the BEST lineup the Giants can field with the players they have on the 25 man roster. They're mostly having a pretty good month: Pagan (.319/.392/.551)… -
Re: Aaron Judge....... “What if”
Judge was way too old to start his career at 25. Generally, most Hall of Famers have 1500 hits by 30 or they are at or near 300 homers. Judge reminds me of Cecil Fielder finally cracked the starting lineup at 26 and also hit 50 that first year. He ended up with 319 career homers and Judge will probably end up around the… -

Re: with the growing popularity of Wrestling Cards, i wish there were some 1980s Tennis Cards to collect
Tennis cards are dirt cheap. Here the ones i've picked up for my HOF collection from sports other than the big 4. The only card that i', missing is Borg from the 70s. I'm not a huge tennis fan so only picked a few players that were popular enough for me to know who they are. The only player i didn't really know was Rod… -
