Re: What Do You Think Is Going To Happen With Carson City DMPL Morgans
For the value players, which would you rather buy at today's levels. An 1885-CC (non-DMPL) in MS-64 or a 1950-D Franklin in MS-65 FBL, each of which are around $500 give or take. The 85-CC in MS-64 has a PCGS Population of 4547 with 2898 higher, the 1950-D shows 281/20. Certainly a number of nice CC's still exist in GSA… -

<< <i>I watched a 1903-S in PCGS XF40 hammer on ebay last nite... $469.03 ... XF40 bid is $170... AU bid is $280... MS60 bid is $430 ... not too shabby for the seller >> Larry, I tracked that coin as well. I bought a raw 03-S in what I considered AU 50 for $281 a couple of years ago; a recent submission to PCGS came back… -
Re: Show me a coin RARER than this...???
A nice auction description. However much of the first paragraph is either incorrect, misleading or nothing more than unsubstantiated assumption. In particular, the material about the half unions is very old and has been demonstrated to be wrong. This is a major flaw in some modern auction description writing – the… -
