Re: How does one get "Altered Surfaces" on a Crossover submission?
It was returned by PCGS last year as altered surface as well. I sent it to NCS, they did what they do and put it in an NGC Slab in a decent grade. I guess PCGS now agrees. Herein lies my issue with "Altered Surface". What does that mean? "......altered surfaces" designation on it. Instead, they are providing a useful… -

Do you have a method to using a safe or safety deposit box?
I have both and I am worried about long term storage, IE: humidity, milk spots, etc... -

Re: I just checked my 2013 W 2-coin set, PCGS 70, both got toned. Very frustrated!
I have a PF70 2006 Reverse Proof... milk spot on her dress, (grumble) other than that, it's still a beautiful coin. (shrug) might replace it someday. -

Worth about $95 then from my cynical point of view....... I'd worry about those milk spots way too much to invest more than that -

Good catch kajdg657. Did you do a manual search? Now if only milk spots could be classified as attractive natural toning I would be rich! -

Wasn't there a story a while back about the first PR-70 developing milk spots? If this coin is the better of the two, it would explain the crazy asking price JH -

I guess this one never developed a milk spot! They must occasionally run the coin press as carefully, slowly and deliberately as they can to come up with unmarked specimens. -
