Re: Ever cherrypick your own collection?
Yeah: My Dad and I collected when I was about 14 and now after 13 years I have gotten back into this stuff and so I decided to cherrypick his raw coins for him. There was a morgan labled ms63 that he bought for 80 bucks. I KNEW there was no way it was a 63. Came back ngc 65 and is going for around 600 bucks now! Same with… -
Re: Will someone post a picture of the older (strictly graded) PCI holders?
The early green PCI with 10 digits was very conservative and usually crosses or up grades at the top 3 TPGS. Next came the 14 digit which was a little looser and usually will cross. Next was the 9 digit holder which came after a change in ownership of PCI. Treat these the same as the gold border slabs. In other words,… -
Re: Think this 14d should get slabbed?

But I think circulated Lincolns generally look best raw, in an album (though I have 1909-S and 1914-D slabbed, but these are both… -
My February submission, one of my best yet (w/scans)
Sent in 20 cards on the February $8 1960s special (<$75 declared value per card). Had already submitted the best of my "big 5" (Aaron, Mays, Clemente, Mantle & Koufax) so this batch was the best of the rest of my 2nd tier '60s HOFers. Was very pleased, even though two came back unslabbed: 1960 Whitey Ford (evidence of… -

I really only collect vintage baseball but I got a sweet deal on two NM-MT complete sets of 78-79 basketball and a nice 14 card lot of 58 football. Could anyone give me an idea of the market for these cards. Should I grade commons or just stars? What is the minimum target grade that would be worth grading? Is there a… -
