Large Group sub. 1,000 cards for $4.50/card
I have about 300 cards to submit. I can get $4.50 per card if I get 1,000 cards. Last summer and fall I did a group pack sub of almost 150 different packs, and a small few hundred group card sub this past fall. I just want to find out if anyone is interested. I would prefer those interested have a 100 cards or more to… -
Help with insight into this new 1788 Colonial purchase?
Bought this at a local shop. I know its not a real 1788 but a replica of some type. I just thought it had a nice look to it and rather cool. I notice that some of the colonial coins that were copied during the 19th century have established their own following and some are valued very richly. I'm sure that this one does not… -

Thats what I did with my last sub. I pre-graded everything a little TOO conservativly, (16 out of the 50 graded HIGHER than I expected), so I'm gonna try not to let this sub lull me into a false sence of invulnerability when it comes to pregrading. -

Either the lighting gives a false impression of the surfaces or the coin was dipped many yeays ago and spent several years in an album I see the second as more likely so my grade is AU50 tops and 45 would not surprise me still - a decent coin as the majority of these have similar issues -

1909-S Indian Cent Counterfeit
Here is a 1909-S indian. You can tell instantly that it's fake because of the full feather tips. All 1909-S Indians have slight lack of definition on the first feather tip. The mint mark is wrong too. I originally thought this was an embossed mint mark, but I now think it is a false die counterfeit. -

In 1944 Denver struck a 10 Centstukken for both Curacao and the Netherlands. 15 mm, 1.25 grams, 64% silver, 36% copper. The Philippine strikes this planchet was in were, I believed, enhanced on the surface with a light pickling, which could explain the false reading on the label. It did not test the coin deep enough.
