Large Group sub. 1,000 cards for $4.50/card

I have about 300 cards to submit. I can get $4.50 per card if I get 1,000 cards. Last summer and fall I did a group pack sub of almost 150 different packs, and a small few hundred group card sub this past fall.

I just want to find out if anyone is interested. I would prefer those interested have a 100 cards or more to submit so we can reach the 1,000 mark with only a handful of people or so.

Let me know your thoughts.

Mike.

I would LOVE to get in on this, Mike - but I'm about a month away from having the raw cards that I'll be wanting to submit (I'm going to be breaking several boxes over the next few weeks). If this offer is still available in a month - count me in.

$4.50 @ 1000? That doesn't seem like much of a deal after accounting for shipping back and forth.

Would like the opportunity, but don't have that many cards. If you need about 40 to put you over 1,000 when you get there, let me know.

I have about 75 cards I would submit.

Edit: If need be, I can get another 25 added.

  • Im putting together a decent sized submission - should be in the 100-150 range, but need about 10 days to finalize.

  • We have time no rush. Just putting it out there. Would prefer to keep it to 10 people or under. Let's talk more about it in a week.

I agree. While it is a nice gesture, it's very hard to find people with 100 cards or more to jump in.
I'm sure you're also charging shipping to and from PSA at a minimum of .50 per card, so that takes it to $5 per card.
For those with 100 cards, calling in for bulk might get you to $5 per card anyway and save .25 for this month's special.

I think to make something like this work is to allow the little guys with small amounts to join in and realistically you'll
need about 30 to 40 participants and/or for those who don't have membership.

I know gumbyfan (Craig) has done one with 2,000 cards. Maybe he'll chime in and give his opinion.
    Good luck though.
  • Maybe its not worth it then. I don't want to have 30 or 40 different orders coming, then sorting, then shipping.

  • I have a 602 card order which Joe gave me a break on. I paid 4.50 a card. Usually anything over 500 cards they will give you a break to 4.50. I recieved a break a few years ago at 4.25 a card for around 900 cards i submitted. To get 4.25 a card now i'm sure you would have to have more then 1000.
Joe called me personally after an e-mail i sent him and we talked for over 20 minutes. Was very nice to say the least to talk to him about the hobby.
    Cheers, Steve
