    I think (not sure) we were striking small silver coins in Denver for the free Netherlands colonies during WWII.

    In 1944 Denver struck a 10 Centstukken for both Curacao and the Netherlands. 15 mm, 1.25 grams, 64% silver, 36% copper.

    The Philippine strikes this planchet was in were, I believed, enhanced on the surface with a light pickling, which could explain the false reading on the label. It did not test the coin deep enough.
