What do you think this is worth ?

First the letter. I bought this in 2004. I just think it's cool and probably will never part with it. Just wanted some opinions.

The question is... Do you have a list of dates for all those coins? lol

An item like this is worth EXACTLY what someone is willing to pay for it. Not a cent more.

    Glad I could help,
    Ray

That's cool! To think the Congressman may have actually planted his tukis on it and thought lofty political thoughts is a mind bender.

Those are pretty popular on eBay. Less than $50 on eBay IIRC.

  • Yes, There are some others on ebay. but you won't find any with a political/history connection like this one.
  • As is i don't think the letter carries much weight , is it letterheaded or watermarked paper ?

plus if you say "Frank Clark, Congressman of Penn." to anyone and they don't know who he is, then the provenance isn't worth the plastic the coins are in.

The last thing I would ever want to buy, unless new, is a toilet seat.

i cant quite make out the date on that Peace Dollar dead in the center with my low fidelity monitor.......you may want to check it since the letter mentions a Lyndon Johnson connection (rumors persist that his estate held a 1964 Peace Dollar)
