Well, I'll keep adding---here is one I bought that isn't art deco and isn't exactly a greyhound, but is a sighthound at least:
I have always loved greyhounds and they do lend themselves to the Art Deco look--I wonder if that's why the deco style medals have always appealed to me....
Just how many dogs do you have??? They look pretty content .
Here is my youngest--I need to remind him to put the hand through the loop. My dog gets a few strange looks in Spain--the fancy collar and pet status and all that considering how much she looks like their galgos (Spanish Greyhound). The galgos are hunting dogs and treated pretty poorly as a class and not usually considered pets.
I have a couple more medals at work to photograph...I can't seem to find all my old photos so I can only inflict so many more on all you poor guys.
I'm partial to the "Penny Black" bust of Queen Victoria by William Wyon. It was used on quite a variety of historical and prize medals over much of the span of Victoria's rule. Here's an example in gold awarded in 1863 to M.C. Buszard by Cambridge University for excellence in law.
Wow, that looks like there is some really impressive 3d effect there--is it more optical illusion? Very Cool!
This one is as I recall a uniface (or I just forgot to upload that picture into the bucket)
One of my favorites--I have a silver one too, but no pictures of that one yet, "L'oevre des Barbares" ('the work of the barbarians' I think in English) by Croce-Lancelot (one of the slightly more rare female medal artists): Details: and even closer to see the baby: the reverse:
Random detail shot of another medal--I can't find the rest of the pictures:
Who would have thought there'd be so many breastfeeding medals out there!
Stork I believe it to be a Coin. It has a date, and I believe a Monetary designation of 1 Penny. A darn expensive penny with a a 59 gram silver coin and1/5 oz of gold insert. I have only found this one in all my years of searching. My avatar was taken from the front page of the Bi-metallic Coin Club magazine long before I found an actual piece.
I think I found my last folder of old and extremely craptastic photos, I'll add a few more later. For now, just so ya'll know I can have a balanced viewpoint, here is a nice medal with bottle feeding (uniface):

Some shields..............stork, just 2 greyhounds now . As many as 3 at one time. The fawn and brindle have gone over the rainbow bridge.
