Las Vegas Trip- Lots of Pics - (Coin Related)

Well this post comes about 4 weeks after my return from my second trip to Sin City. Some pics from the 4 days there...
I promise there is a tie in with coins
Some views of the city...
From my Planet Hollywood Hotel window

The Excalibur

New York New York at night

Over The Strip

My Girlfriend at The Venetian. Treasure Island in the backround. (missed the PCGS Show by one day
)

In Vegas

The Minus 5 Ice Bar inside Mandalay Bay, temp 23 degrees. Everything including your drink glass is made of ice! Really cool

Rain in Vegas?
Complete with thunder and lightning...

Freemont Street

Binions Casino

Didn`t go inside but liked the idea

I was around 180lbs too light

Inside my Hotel.
Really??

Now where the coin part comes into play.
While there I was fortunate enough to meet my first board member Bob(AUandAG) and his wife Linda. He and Linda are some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. We met at my Planet Hollywood Hotel and had lunch. We talked coins for a while and Bob brought along some nice eye candy(coins) for me to check out. I had arranged through PM about one of his coins on the BST that I would be interested in so he brought it along too. It was a 1876-S Trade Dollar with Chopmarks. I do have a couple of Trade`s already but thought it would be cool to have one with Chops also. Bob being the nice guy he is made me a deal I couldn`t refuse. Here is what I came home from Vegas with thanks to him.

Thanks again Bob and Linda for coming to meet my girlfriend and myself and hope to visit Vegas again next year; this time when the Members Only Show is happening.

<< <i>What is an 'awful awful eating contest'???? Cheers, RickO >>
The "awful awful" is a hamburger/fries/drink combo that is served at the Carson City Nugget Casino. Great burger!
As a kid growing up in Carson City it became a staple of the food groups. I could sit and eat them for hours. Back
in the day the burger was served in a basket and covered with handfuls of fries and served with a shake. Could
eat multiples back in my teen days. My thirteenth birthday dinner was several hours at the Nugget eating "awful awfuls"!
