I was outside on the tractor and felt nothing , i came in and the missus is still banging on about the walls shaking , bucks co Pa , right next door to NJ.

Felt it in the Baltimore area. USGS raised it to a 5.9 magnitude. No telephone service here---cell or land line.

It felt pretty strong at work here in Moorestown, NJ. Most of the buildings were self evacuated. Still no cell phone or internet on phones.

Two different earthquakes, Trinidad, CO and Mineral, VA.

People are calling the radio station here in Chicago to say they felt the Virginia one. I did not.

Felt it pretty good in So MD. At first, I thought they had ran an F-18 into the side of our hangar. I manage to hit save on about 5 documents and incomplete email before I ran out.

Here in a 55-story building in Manhattan...and we were rolling around quite a bit!

And we're a bit overly sensitive to sudden (unexplained) shaking in tall Manhattan skyscrapers these days!

I was also on a Riding Mower & didn't feel a thing. My son came running out & indicated we just went through an earthquake...the house was shaking and the cars in the driveway were doing a slow dance. I live the the DC burbs.

Working in Secaucus, NJ today and our building got evacuated! Good times...

First time I've ever felt an earthquake. When it started I just thought I was dizzy.

Felt it in southern CT, was sitting at a traffic light and the car started bouncing, I actually checked the mirror to see if someone had rolled into me. My next thought was that I'd busted a motor mount and what coins would I sell to pay for the repair.

Was sitting on the bed here in brooklyn ny and the bed began to move like someone was pushing it.I had to look around to see if my son was fooling around with me.Only about 10 seconds.

Sitting on the couch going through some dimes, my dogs started barking, I looked up, couldn't figure out what I was feeling, figured it was an earthquake, stepped outside and noticed our chairs rocking back and forth and was in a bit of shock. Philly area, by the way, never felt an earthquake before in my life.

Do you feel a little bit "cheated" as i do ? The most exciting event in my time here and i knew nothing about it..tsk..plus the ol'lady is miffed at me for not believing her in the first place..sigh..told her she had one too many late nights maybe , that was a mistake

I was on the 2nd floor of the hospital that I work at (Ocean County NJ) and I was the only one who felt it at first. No one answered me when I asked "Do you feel that?". I thought I was having a stroke! (which is scarier than the 5.8).

That was funny.

A quake occured in Colorado last night as well which is very rare for the area. 5.3 Magnitude I believe.

I hope that whatever stress needed relieving got relieved.

I grew up in South Jersey and remember one about 4am one morning, forget the year, sometime in the 60's.

I'd be more concerned at this point with Irene taking aim on the northeast.
