From what I have seen and read the 02 is a pretty ugly strike anyway. I'm I correct is saying that?

The 1902 is an ugly strike and ugly year. Very few PL's and they are hazy/cloudy normally. Yours seems nice, a little hard to grade from the photo but looks around a 63/64.

Grade from a photograph....MS63... Cheers, RickO

Tough to tell from those photo's, would need to see a larger more detailed view as it looks pretty clean from what I can see so it might be a MS64.

I like it as a 64; would love it as a 63 and wouldn't want anything to do with it as a 65.

No clue but the carpet is nice. Put the coin on a solid colored surface and retake and the
camera will focus on the coin not the background.

I like it and it looks minimum 63 and possibly a 64- and those that wrote that the 02 P is a tough year for quality are right- this is a keeper

Seems clean enough to me to grade MS65. But hard to say how blasty it is and whether any grade-limiting hairlines might be there.

From what i can see- my bet would be a frosty 64 for this date- i love the earlier morgans a lot more than the later years, and still i can't seem to get rid of any of mine.

As usual many members are guessing "63" and yet none of them could show you a pic of a "63" Morgan that looks as clean as yours (at least as seen in your small pics). Apparently the fortunate members here have 63s that look like 65s, and god knows what their 65s look like!

Keep in mind that we are looking at the image of the coin and not the coin itself- I don't have the ability to tilt the coin to look for hairlines or see how distracting any possible issues may be- I like the coin and said 63 minimum and possibly 64- If it were my coin, I would send it in anticipating the graders will appreciate that this is a terrific coin for the date and hope for the best

I have seen lots of 64s that did not look that good and some 65s also.

    64+, maybe 65

My pics are kinda bad and don't show the true image of the coin but it's all I have for now. The obverse is very nice in my opinion and thank you all for the replies.

You at least have a nice list of board members that you might want to buy some MS-63 Morgan dollars
from! As clean as that cheek is, it would need some pretty serious hairlines to grade 63. Congratulations
    on your 65+ grade.

Either that or the date would have to jump 10x in value from 63 to 64. This one doesn't.

I'd say MS-64. The luster appears to be a bit hazy. "Blast white" seems to cover a lot of sins (marks) when it comes to slab grades. Quite or hazy coins end up losing a point or two. Given the low number of marks it could get a low end MS-65, but the odds are against it.

Even with the grade posted it seems it's still hard to convince the crowd it's not a 63 or 64........image
