What do you carry as a pocket piece?

I have a Peace Dollar which has been buffed to a high shine from 30+ years in my pocket.
How about you?

I have a couple of Ike dollars that I have been carrying around for about 25 years that are slowly wearing down.

I had been using a generic silver round but decided to sell it. Still in the process of choosing something else.

I carry a 1933 St Gaudens Double Eagle given to me by a relative who claimed he got it from a mint employee. I'm probably going to have the government look at it for verification that it's authentic... you know... just in case. image

I don't carry it around every day, but I sometimes carry a 2007 bronze Jefferson's Liberty Spouse medal. Started out looking MS69RD, now it's probably AU55 or so and has a nice RB color to it. It also has a little rim ding now too since i'm apparenly too clumsy to flip it up in the air and catch it, hahaha.

I have a 1926 Sesquicentennial half and an undated Draped Bust large cent (probably a 1798). Both were heavily damaged and circulated when I bought them and I figured I couldn't do anything but improve them. My five year old twins have me flip the large cent to see which one has to go into the bath first, Aidan is always "the side with the lady" and Matthew is "the side with the leaves".

I sometimes carry around a small Jennings .22 caliber in my pocket though I was thinking of upgrading to a Taurus Judge. Does that count?

    Oh, wrong kind of "piece."

The Judge & The Public Defender. You've gotta hand it to Taurus on naming those two - brilliant! Of course now S&W has The Governor.

The Judge is a nice weapon... have not yet handled/fired the Public Defender or the Governor... will do so soon. Cheers, RickO
  • I believe the state of California considers the Judge, Public Defender and the Governor
sawed-off shotguns and hence are not available to us untrustworthy citizens of this
    nanny state.
