Struck Gold today on my _ _ _ Submission!

When I first saw this coin, I knew it looked better than an AU55, and others agreed. It got a gold sticker at the sticker place today!
Overall I went 8 out of 13 total. Out of the five that did not sticker, I expected 3 would not. The other two were a bit of a surprise, and I somewhat disagree with why they didnt, but not a big deal.
Thus far, I have gotten four Gold stickers. Not too bad overall.

These are some that got a green sticker:

This one was upgraded to a PCGS XF40, and recieved a green bean to boot!

This is in an NGC PF65 holder. I thought it was nicer than a 65.

This one crossed at PCGS as an AU53:

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

For what its worth, I have only sold one of my gold beaned coins. This one, and the other two are part of my core collection. Could I make a bunch on these? Yes. But I have no will to sell them. And for the $10 it costs to get a coin stickered, its well worth it for liquidity reasons and for future resale value. But that is just my opinion.

PCGS Price Guide for the 1891 is $190... I'll offer you $200?

Looks like he has two good eyes!
<< <i>Very nice! Love the Seated Half! JA is a good man to do business with.
I missed the seated half, where'd it go?

It's a seated half-half!
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Hmm..
The gold sticker is a marker that tells you that the coin is under graded by the sticker placer.
Ankur has made 4 gold stickers out of over 100 coins submitted. Less than 4% of his best quality purchases gold stickered.
This idea is almost the same as those that crack coins and try for a higher grade.

Oops! Foiled again! Still a nice one though!
Splendid.
Are your golds on green or blue or ngc holders?
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
<< <i>Speaking to someone at the sticker place, he said the last gold sticker he saw was 3 weeks ago!

I was there a week ago and left with some gold stickers, too, so they have definitely given them out within the last three weeks.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I think I'd rather have it in a higher (but appropriate) grade than undergraded with a bean.
<< <i>That Quarter is, to use an old phrase that applies well here, the Bees Knees!
Splendid.

Thus far all gold stickers have been on PCGS slabs. Old and new.
Tom: very possible.
Dave: since there is no guarantee for an upgrade, I personally prefer the gold CAC sticker. And apparently the resale value of the gold stickers are tremendous.

You aren't kidding... I can't believe you made me pay you $225 for that 1891 just because it had the golden egg!

I agree, very well struck and much more attractive than many of the MS65 coins that you see out there. I was looking at one graded MS66 the other day and it had hits all over it and four or five of the stars on the obverse were completely flat, couldn't believe it.
