If there was a labeling error that changed an MS66 to an MS666. how much would it be worth?

Eventually, there might be an SGS holder with that lofty grade, as runaway gradeflation takes foot in their shop.

Would that be so bad if you collected PCGS slabbed coppers?

I bought a common date AU55 gold half eagle in a small ANACS holder with the serial number of 666666 off Ebay. The seller hyped the serial number but I managed to win it for a little over gray sheet bid.

Ironically, I took a check to the bank this AM from my ex-wife which was # 666 and I thought of "llafoe" and chuckled. Seemed appropriate somehow image

As for a coin graded with 666, if it ever happens, it'll end up on eBay with a long story, some nutty analysis of its evil powers, and massive hype so don't worry, you'll know LOL

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I own a small white ANACS slab with serial number 666666 (see my earlier post in this thread). I mentioned it in a past thread here and this may be what you are remembering. I don't think they ever used a three digit serial number.

I will never understand how some can attribute powers to a number... it is nothing more than a number and I find it ludicrous that people allow such things to influence their lives. Cheers, RickO

When PCGS used to put the coin number on the inserts, I noticed PCGS 1953-S Franklins graded MS66 would sport 6666.66
