It appears to be a 'filled obv. die' error - struck thru
grease, in all probability.
A fairly common occurance.....
The circular stain on the obv. will affect the value to
some degree. Nice find though.....

<< <i>Struck through grease with a stain from the world's smallest coffee cup. Are there any signs of black spooge on the coin where the rim meets the field? >>
Actually under a loupe the circle appears to be part of the coin, with the brown stain on the inside edges. The spots above "In God We Trust" look like stains....but no black stuff
