I have two great coins...

...that I haven't posted here because they've been dipped. One is early 19th century copper, the other is late 18th century silver.
Dipped silver doesn't bother me - over dipped or dipped out silver does and there's a huge difference. Those who claim that a 1700's coin shouldn't be blast white do have a point, tho. So I'm a bit embarrassed to post it, even tho I think it's a great coin.
Dipped copper on the other hand does bother me - mainly because it's a lot more unstable. This one's in an OGH, however - so it's been almost 20 years since it happened and the color has only mellowed a bit to looking very natural. I really really like the coin ... but I'm sure that some are a bit more critical.
Maybe one day I'll get over my reservations and post them.

That's some "dreck" you got there. LOL. The pieces you're embarrased about would more that be centerpieces in my collection...As always, that's for posting pics. Cool coins.
