    I'm sure you must known that is a Cohen 7, which is the rarest of the four Spiked Chin varieties. More of them have been found which means it's down to R-4, maybe high R-3, but that one is a very nice example.

    The diagnostic is that the leaf points between the "O" and "F" in "OF."
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Damn right it is! I believe that coin is Ex: Weber from 2002.

    Back at that time I could not afford anything that was sold out of the Weber collection. image Back when I was collecting half cents by die variety I had an example of this variety in VF-30 that I cherry picked at a local show.
